We run the same drivers on the same routes season after season, which is why we can tell you that a sedan is wrong for four adults with suitcases, that the Jaipur to Jodhpur road takes longer than the map claims, and that the cheapest quote you received probably excludes the driver's night allowance.
Vehicles are chauffeur driven only. That is not a restriction we invented to sell more, it is how India works. A driver who has done the road a hundred times reads the traffic, knows where the check posts are, finds parking at Amber Fort, and gets you to the Taj Mahal gate before the queue builds. Self drive saves nothing once you count the time lost.
Our fleet is built around what international guests actually book. Two thirds of enquiries are for groups of two to seven, so that middle band is where we hold the most choice, from an Innova through to a Vellfire with reclining captain seats. Above that we run tempo travellers, mini coaches and full size Volvo coaches for tour groups and conferences.

Which Vehicle for How Many People
The most common booking mistake is one size too small. Luggage is what fills an Indian vehicle, not passengers, so count suitcases before you count people.

How Car Hire Is Priced in India
Quotes from different operators are hard to compare because they are often built on different bases. Ours are written the same way every time, and the figure we send is the figure you pay.
Ask any quote you receive elsewhere whether it includes the driver's allowance, interstate permits and parking. Those three lines are where surprise charges usually hide.

Travelling with a wheelchair or limited mobility
We will be straight with you about what we can provide. Our accessible bookings use a wide door vehicle with a step stool, folding wheelchair storage in the boot, and a dedicated attendant who travels with you and handles transfers. We do not operate ramp fitted vans in most cities, and we would rather tell you that now than at the airport.

Hiring a Car in India: Your Questions
What guests ask before they hand us their transport for two weeks.
Are your vehicles chauffeur driven, or can I drive myself?
Every vehicle we rent comes with a driver. We do not offer self drive. Indian road conditions, signage and horn culture take experience to read, and a driver who knows the route costs less than the mistakes made learning it.
How are car rental rates calculated in India?
Three ways. Airport and point to point transfers are a fixed one way figure. City use is quoted on an eight hour, eighty kilometre basis with a slab for extra hours and kilometres. Multi day touring is quoted per day against an agreed route, and on that basis fuel, driver allowance, state taxes, permits, tolls and parking are already inside the figure.
Which vehicle suits our group size?
Two travellers with normal luggage fit a sedan. Three to four are more comfortable in an Innova. Five to seven need an MPV such as a Vellfire or a Kia Carnival, and this is the size most groups get wrong. Eight to twelve take a tempo traveller or Urbania, and above that you move into coaches from twenty to forty nine seats.
Does the driver speak English?
Our regular drivers handle conversational English well enough for directions, timings and stops. They are drivers, not guides, so they do not commentate at monuments. Where you want history explained we put a licensed local guide in the car for that city.
Can one vehicle stay with us for the whole tour?
Yes, and it is what we recommend. The same car and the same driver run the full route, so your luggage stays in the boot, the driver learns your pace, and nobody has to be re-briefed in every city.
Do you have electric cars for long inter city routes?
We book electric vehicles for city use and airport transfers, where charging is predictable. For long highway runs such as Delhi to Agra to Jaipur we recommend a hybrid instead, because public charging along those roads is still thin and a stranded guest costs far more than the booking is worth.
