Pre war Rolls-Royces, a nineteen thirties Cadillac and a classic Ambassador, for wedding entries, palace arrivals and photography. Hired for one to three hours with a driver, dressed and positioned before your timings.
Rajasthan is where these cars actually are. The princely states bought them, the families kept them, and enough are still running to be hired properly rather than posed with. Udaipur's City Palace collection alone holds more than twenty vintage cars, including four antique Rolls-Royces and a pair of nineteen thirties Cadillacs, all maintained and driveable. Being based in Jaipur puts us close to the collections and the drivers who look after them.
One thing to be clear about before you enquire. This is an hourly vintage car experience, not a touring one. A ninety-year-old car has no usable air conditioning, brakes that need respect and a cooling system that suffers in stationary traffic. We hire them for one to three hours: the wedding entry, the arrival at the palace, the photo shoot, or the short drive through the old city at the end of the day.
For the driving itself we send a modern car. Guests who book both get the photographs they wanted and a comfortable transfer afterwards, which is how every successful vintage car booking we have run has been arranged.
The Vehicles
Availability changes with the season and the collection, so treat this as the list we work from rather than a permanent fleet. Each has its own page with photographs and rates on request.
4 seats 1 bags inside Petrol
The car most couples picture for the entry. Pre war Phantoms and Silver Wraiths survive in Rajasthan collections in running condition, and arriving in one at a palace gate is a different experience from any modern car. Open and closed bodies both exist, s
4 seats 1 bags inside 1 to 3 hours
Nineteen thirties American bodywork, long bonnets and whitewall tyres. The Mewar collection in Udaipur keeps a pair of them running, and they photograph beautifully against sandstone.
4 seats 2 bags inside Petrol or Diesel
Not a luxury car and not pretending to be one. For most foreign visitors the Ambassador is India from photographs: government cars, Kolkata taxis, another era entirely. We run it as a ninety minute heritage drive through the old city, which is the right w
4 seats 2 bags inside Petrol
A nineteen fifties or sixties Mercedes saloon for guests who want a period car without the ceremony of a Rolls-Royce. More usable than the older cars and easier to arrange at short notice.
4 seats 1 bags inside Petrol or Diesel
Any car from this category or our luxury fleet, dressed with flowers and ribbon to match your colours and positioned before the ceremony timings rather than decorated on site.
2 to 4 seats 2 to 3 bags inside Diesel or Hybrid
A wide door vehicle, a step stool, space for a folding wheelchair and a trained attendant who travels with you. Honest advice on what India's roads and monuments allow.
Send us the date, the city and the ceremony timings. Vintage availability is limited, so the earlier you ask the more we can hold for you.

FAQs
Yes. Flowers, ribbon and the colour scheme are arranged to match the event, and the car arrives dressed rather than being decorated on site. Tell us the ceremony timings and we will position the car well before them, because these engines prefer not to idle in a queue.
Not strictly, but it belongs in this category rather than in economy rental. Production ended in 2014 and for most foreign visitors the Ambassador is a piece of India they recognise from photographs: government cars, Kolkata taxis, another era. As a ninety minute heritage drive it is a memorable thing to do, and as everyday transport it is not.
Rajasthan holds the best collections in the country, which is one advantage of us being based in Jaipur. Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur all have running vintage cars in private and palace collections, and Delhi and Mumbai have a smaller number. Availability is genuinely limited, so ask early for a wedding date.
No, and we will not quote it. A two hundred kilometre highway run in a nineteen thirties car risks the car and your schedule. What we do instead is send the vintage car for the arrival or the departure photographs and a modern vehicle for the drive itself.
One to three hours. These are not touring cars. They have no air conditioning worth the name, drum brakes on the older ones, and cooling systems that dislike traffic on a hot afternoon. A wedding entry, a palace arrival, a photo shoot or a short drive through the old city is exactly what they are for.
Why Book With Us
You can hire a car from a local supplier or an aggregator app. What you cannot do there is reach the person who planned your route at eleven at night, change tomorrow's pickup while you are still at dinner, or get told honestly that the vehicle you asked for is one size too small. That is the difference, and it costs you nothing extra.
01
Our office is in Jaipur. When a flight lands late or tomorrow's pickup needs to move, the person who planned your route is the one who answers, in the same time zone as your driver.
02
We hold negotiated rates with the transport companies and drivers we have used for years. In most cases our figure sits below a walk-in quote, and we never add a fee of our own on top.
03
Fuel, driver allowance, night halts, state taxes, permits, tolls and parking are all inside the quote. Nobody asks you for cash at a state border.
04
An app can send a car. It cannot sequence your cities, book the monument tickets, put a licensed guide in the car for one morning and move it all when you change your mind.
05
We will tell you when a sedan is too small for your luggage, when a route is too long to enjoy in a day, and when an electric car is the wrong choice for the highway.
06
You deal with the same consultant from the first email to the day you fly home, reachable on WhatsApp while you are travelling.
The same vehicle, the same dates. What changes is everything around it.
