10 Must-Visit Tourist Attractions in Rajasthan

Rajasthan is a state in northern India that is near the Pakistani border. Due to its breathtaking terrain, which includes the vast Thar Desert and the gorgeous Aravallis Mountains, this amazing state is a well-liked tourist destination. Rajasthan, a hub for Rajput culture, is a great site to visit historical palaces and temples built by Rajput monarchs. Aim to include as many of these magnificent Rajasthan tourist destinations in your itinerary as you travel throughout the region.

Jaipur
The lively city of Jaipur, which is home to many intriguing attractions and activities, serves as Rajasthan's capital. One of the Golden Triangle tour’s corners, Jaipur serves as an excellent entry point to some of Rajasthan's less well-known locales. Amber Fort, Nahargarh Fort, and Jaigarh Fort are the three principal forts in Jaipur. The City Palace, a magnificent fusion of Mughal and Rajput design that is so large that most visitors can't see it all in a single day, is also well worth seeing. Numerous temples and a sizable bazaar can be found in Jaipur, which comes to life each evening as the sun sets.

Udaipur
Since Udaipur is known as the "City of Lakes," it is not surprising that the lakes are a major draw. Even though Fateh Sagar and Pichola, two of the largest lakes, are manmade, their beauty is undeniable. The Udaipur City Palace, a complex of palaces, museums, and gardens featuring a variety of architectural styles, is the principal attraction of the city. You may admire shrines, temples, royal houses, and art treasures inside the City Palace. The most prominent temple in Udaipur, Jagdish Temple, is located directly north of the palace. The temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has beautiful carvings, has become a well-known site in Udaipur.

Ranthambore
This national park, which also serves as a wildlife sanctuary, is renowned as one of the best places in the world to watch tigers roaming freely. For a tour of the park and up-close encounters with the animals, you can reserve a wildlife safari. For the most daring tourists, a smaller open-top car called a gipsy is best, and larger open-top cars called canters provide a bit more safety. Ranthambhore National Park is home to a variety of animals, in addition to tigers, such as sloth bears, hyenas, and leopards. You may see Ranthambhore Fort, which was built in the tenth century, while on a safari.

Mount Abu
A hill station in Rajasthan called Mount Abu provides breathtaking panoramas of the surroundings. A top with a rocky plateau denotes a big area to explore as well as a wealth of attractions. Near Mount Abu, Nakki Lake is a must-visit location, and you can even rent a reasonably priced paddle boat to get out on the water and take in the surrounding hills. The Dilwara Temples on Mount Abu are also worth seeing. These Jain temples, which date back to the 12th century, were fashioned from magnificent white marble.

Chittorgarh
The Chittorgarh Fort is a famous landmark in the city of Chittorgarh, which is located on the banks of the Berach River. The fort, one of the biggest in India, was constructed in the seventh century and is defended by seven gates. It can be difficult to see the entire fort in a single day due to its size. Start with the 15th-century Victory Tower, which is magnificently illuminated every night. Make time to see the Meera Temple, which honours Vishnu, as well as Rana Kumbha's Palace, the fort's oldest structure and home to a sizable collection of idols.

Bikaner
Even though the city of Bikaner is home to a palace, a historic fort, and even a centre for camel research, many Indians associate it with foodies with a sweet taste. Kesar Kulfi, a sweet and iced delicacy that is delectable and cooling on a hot afternoon, is one of the regional specialities you must taste. Bikaner is particularly known for its desert safaris, where visitors can ride camels into the desert to observe the indigenous way of life and scenery. The 16th-century Junagarh Fort near Bikaner, which today houses a sizable museum about the area, is unavoidable.
