This open-air observatory is a collection of some 20 astronomical instruments, used for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking location of major stars and constellations, declination of planets and other astronomical and celestial navigations.
Among the all instruments, Samrat Yantra is noteworthy, it casts a huge shadow that accurately measures time down to two seconds.
