Udaipur

Trip Overview

A natural wonderland, Udaipur is situated in Rajasthan's southernmost section and is ringed by the Aravalli Range. It was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II as the Mewar Kingdom's infant capital. Excellent road, rail, and air connections connect Udaipur to other parts of India. In comparison to other regions of Rajasthan, Udaipur is calm. It combines regal majesty with steep slopes and spectacular views far from the bustle of the city. Udaipur is widely termed it as the "City of Lakes" because of the many linked freshwater bodies that are located within and surrounding the city. The "City of Lakes" is often referred to as the Rajput style used to construct the palaces and forts in Udaipur.

Let's have a look at the 2 days of Udaipur excursion.

Udaipur Tour Package 2 Days :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Jaipur

Land at Jaipur airport, receive warm greetings from the tour representative. Get into the car and reach Udaipur. Check in the hotel and then, arrive for an excursion. The guide will accompany you to the whole tour.

City Palace Udaipur is a great place to visit to begin your journey.
The largest regal structure in Rajasthan is thought to be the City Palace in Udaipur, which was built on the shores of Lake Pichola. His successors added numerous structures to the palace, enhancing its splendour. The palace is still filled with a variety of Mahals, courtyards, pavilions, walkways, terrace, chambers, and hanging gardens.

Visit Lake Pichola
The Aravalli Hills provide a gorgeous lake with an even more beautiful setting. One of the many wonderful man-made beauties of the city is Lake Pichola, a stunning artificial freshwater lake in Udaipur.

Visit Sajjangarh Palace
A former Mewar royal palace that formerly governed this area for many years. The palace was intended to be a nine-story observation for astronomy, used for viewing and assessing the arrival and characteristics of monsoon clouds. This was due to the palace's advantageous location on Bandera Peak, a mountain in the Aravalli Mountains, from which it could observe these clouds clearly. As a result, it earned the moniker Monsoon Palace. Additionally, it would have provided the subjects with employment choices.

Check out Bagore Ki Haveli
A luxurious, stunning palace built on the coast of Lake Pichola in the 18th century. The Mewar Kingdom's prime minister, Amar Chand Badwa, built the haveli, which contains more than a 100 chambers filled with wonderful artefacts and adorned with mirrored and glass works.

Day 2 The places to be visit

Check out Jag Mandir Palace
Magnificent castle in Udaipur, Rajasthan, right on the lake's southern island. A three-story structure made of marble and yellow sandstone, the palace. A sight to behold would be eight life-size elephant sculptures fashioned of beautiful white marble that seemed to be guarding the castle.

View the cenotaphs at Ahar.
About two kilometres to the east of Udaipur in Ahar, Rajasthan, the Ahar Museum is primarily made up of Ahar Cenotaphs and the Ahar Archaeology Museum. This historic location is well-known for both its architectural beauty and for being the place in which the Maharanas of Mewar were cremated.

Go to the Eklingji Temple.
Eklingji Temple, one of Rajasthan's best known temples, is situated 22 km far from Udaipur. Due to its wonderful design, the Hindu divinity Lord Shiva-dedicated Eklingji Shrine receives a lot of visitors every year. This temple has a magnificent aspect because of its two levels, pyramidal roof, and beautifully carved tower. Steps lead down from the extended external walls of the temple to the tranquil waters.

Visit Wax Museum
The Wax Museum, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Udaipur, Rajasthan, is located on Sahelion ki Bari Road. Both residents and tourists frequent it for its many wax celebrity statues and other entertaining features like a Mirrored Maze, a Horror House, and a 9D Theater. The first wax museum, one of five around the nation, is located in Rajasthan. More than 15 wax statues from London, which were modelled after Indian and foreign actors, historical people, sports players, etc., are kept there.

Visit Saheliyon- Ki -Bari
A grand garden in the Indian state of Rajasthan's capital city of Udaipur. The Garden or the Courtyard of Maidens are other names for it. Its creation was intended for the maidens who travelled with the Princesses after her wedding to Maharana Sangram Singh, as the name denotes. On the shores of Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur sits the captivating Saheliyon Ki Bari. It boasts stunning fountains, canopied pedestrian lanes, and lush, green lawns that have been expertly planted. Saheliyon ki Bari is regarded by most people as one of the nicest spots in Udaipur to unwind and refresh with friends, family, or even by yourself.

Depart by the end of the tour. The tour guide will drop you to the airport from there, get into your flight.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.    ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.
