The seventh wonder of the world, Taj Mahal is marked and hold a distinct place on the map not only on Uttar Pradesh but also on India. It makes this Agra to be known as City of Love because it has the renowned Emblem of Love. Shah Jahan built this marvelous structure using white marble of Makrana and northern part of medieval India. The great Mughal emperor Akbar built Agra fort in 1565 AD. Outside area of the fort is built with stronf walls and pillars supporting the fort with proper strength and guarding the pride of Agra Fort. Its outer area is surrounded by circular water reservoir which is deep to make it difficult for enemies to enter the premises. Interiors of this fort have Moti Masjid, Dewan-e-Aam, Khaas Mahal, Musamman Burj and many more.
The main entrance is located on the eastern side, and the prayer chamber is ornamented with intricate designs adding glory to it. Pearl white is the another famous name of Moti Masjid as the marble used is of the finest quality brought exclusively from Makrana and Red stone from Sikandra. It was built by Shah Jahan so that his court members can offer prayers inside it. It is unique in its own way, with Hindu style kiosks which decorate the parapet.
This building is designed with a rectangular open forecourt and it was constructed in 1648 A.D., by Shah Jahan's daughter, Jehanera Begum in memory of the famous Shiekh Salim Chistti and his grandson Islam Khan. Of particular importance is its wonderful assimilation of Iranian architecture. Muslim community gathers at mass level to offer prayers time to time.
Jodha Bai was one of the main queens of Akbar amongst the three. She was daughter of Raja Bharmal who was ruler of Amber of Jaipur. She carried with herself her culture in Mughal Dynasty. In her live and fond memories Akbar ordered to build building like Jodha Bai ka Rauza which is very simple in its built style and reflects the simplicity of her personality. This place has a proper mixture of Rajathani and Gujrati built style in its architecture.
It means Moonlight Garden. As the name suggest it has been designed in such a fashion from where one can get a mesmerizing view in the moonlight standing under this garden. It is exactly located in the north of Taj Mahal and in its front Yamuna flows at its vigor. On the Full Moon Night Mehtab Bagh offer such a unique and unbeatable picturesque view which will make one heart go gaga over it.
Most of the rulers in Mughal Dynasty were art and literature love, be it Akbar, Shah Jahan or Jahangir. They all had fond bonding with the nature so most of their architectural marvels have ample to learn and understand about their tastes and in depth inclination towards nature.
