South India Coffee Plantation and Nature Tour :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Bangalore

Upon arrival at Bangalore International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred privately to their luxury hotel. Bangalore’s pleasant climate, green avenues, and cosmopolitan atmosphere create a comfortable introduction to South India before the journey moves into the scenic plantation regions of Karnataka and Kerala.

After check-in, guests may relax after their international flight while enjoying the premium hospitality of the hotel. Unlike the quieter hill destinations visited later, Bangalore introduces travelers gently through refined dining experiences, elegant urban spaces, and relaxed cultural surroundings.

Later in the evening, guests may enjoy a curated dinner featuring Karnataka specialties and contemporary South Indian cuisine presented within a luxury setting. Overnight stay in Bangalore

Day 2 Bangalore to Coorg

After breakfast, depart toward the scenic plantation hills of Coorg, often referred to as the “Scotland of India.” The drive gradually transitions into greener landscapes filled with forests, coffee plantations, waterfalls, and rolling mountain valleys.

As the route climbs through the Western Ghats, guests begin experiencing the cooler climate and peaceful atmosphere associated with Karnataka’s plantation regions. Scenic roadside cafés and countryside viewpoints create excellent opportunities for photography and relaxation during the journey.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by coffee estates and tropical greenery. The evening remains free for leisure amidst the calm plantation surroundings while enjoying fresh mountain air and luxury hospitality. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 3 Coorg Coffee Plantation Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the coffee estates followed by a guided plantation experience introducing guests to the cultivation, harvesting, roasting, and blending processes behind Coorg’s internationally respected coffee culture.

Guests walk through scenic estate trails surrounded by pepper vines, cardamom plants, tropical trees, and coffee shrubs while plantation experts explain the history and traditions associated with coffee farming in Karnataka. The calm environment and cooler weather create a deeply relaxing atmosphere throughout the experience.

Later in the afternoon, visit Abbey Falls and Raja’s Seat where panoramic valley views stretch across the plantation landscapes. Evening remains free for wellness therapies, coffee tasting sessions, or private dining within the estate property. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 4 Coorg to Chikmagalur

After breakfast, continue toward the mountain plantation region of Chikmagalur, another important center of coffee cultivation in South India. The scenic drive remains highly rewarding with mist-covered hills, forests, valleys, and countryside villages accompanying the route.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury coffee estate retreat surrounded by rolling plantations and mountain scenery. Compared to Coorg’s broader landscapes, Chikmagalur feels quieter and more intimate with stronger focus on plantation life and nature-based relaxation.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy guided estate walks while observing coffee processing areas and plantation landscapes spread across the hills. Evening remains peaceful with plantation-inspired dining experiences and overnight stay in Chikmagalur.

Day 5 Chikmagalur Nature Exploration

Morning begins with breakfast followed by scenic exploration across Chikmagalur’s surrounding mountain landscapes. Visit selected viewpoints and waterfalls where panoramic views stretch across the Western Ghats.

Guests may also enjoy nature walks and plantation photography experiences amidst the cooler climate and peaceful environment. Chikmagalur’s untouched atmosphere and lower tourist crowds make it especially rewarding for luxury nature travelers seeking slower immersive experiences.

The afternoon remains intentionally relaxed allowing guests to enjoy spa therapies, coffee tasting sessions, or quiet leisure time within the plantation retreat. Overnight stay in Chikmagalur.

Day 6 Chikmagalur to Wayanad

After breakfast, depart toward the forested hill region of Wayanad in Kerala. The route gradually transitions from Karnataka’s plantation landscapes into Kerala’s tropical forests and cooler mountain valleys.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury eco-retreat surrounded by forests, spice gardens, and natural landscapes. Wayanad is known for its wildlife-rich environment, waterfalls, bamboo forests, and wellness-focused nature retreats that blend naturally with the surroundings.

The evening remains free for relaxation while guests enjoy herbal drinks, nature walks, and cool forest air within the property. Overnight stay in Wayanad.

Day 7 Wayanad Forest and Wellness Experiences

Morning begins with yoga or nature walks amidst Wayanad’s peaceful forest landscapes followed by breakfast featuring fresh local ingredients and traditional Kerala flavors.

Guests may spend the day exploring waterfalls, plantation regions, and tropical trails while enjoying the calm atmosphere of the Western Ghats. Compared to the plantation-focused experiences of Karnataka, Wayanad introduces a more forest-oriented environment with stronger emphasis on wildlife, ecology, and wellness.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy Ayurvedic spa therapies or private relaxation sessions within the retreat. Evening remains peaceful with curated dining experiences inspired by Kerala’s spice-rich cuisine. Overnight stay in Wayanad.

Day 8 Wayanad to Munnar

After breakfast, continue toward the famous tea plantation destination of Munnar. The drive remains scenic throughout with waterfalls, spice plantations, valleys, and tea-covered hills appearing across the route.

As guests enter Munnar, the landscapes transform dramatically into rolling green tea estates spread across mist-covered mountains. The cooler climate and scenic beauty make Munnar one of South India’s most iconic hill destinations.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by tea gardens and panoramic valley views. Evening remains free for tea tasting sessions, wellness experiences, and overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 9 Munnar Tea Plantation Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the tea-covered hills before starting a scenic exploration of Munnar’s plantation landscapes and natural attractions. Munnar remains one of South India’s most photographed hill stations because of its endless tea gardens, cool mountain climate, waterfalls, and peaceful atmosphere.

Guests may visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake where panoramic valley views and calm surroundings create ideal opportunities for photography and relaxation. Along the route, private stops are arranged at selected tea plantation viewpoints where travelers can observe tea workers harvesting leaves across the slopes while learning about Kerala’s tea production traditions.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy a curated tea tasting session featuring locally grown varieties from the region. Luxury plantation resorts in Munnar also offer wellness therapies and nature-focused experiences that perfectly complement the slower rhythm of the itinerary. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 10 Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast, continue toward the forest and spice plantation region of Thekkady. The scenic drive passes through winding mountain roads, waterfalls, tropical forests, and aromatic spice plantations while gradually introducing a more jungle-like atmosphere compared to Munnar’s open tea landscapes.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by spice estates and forest scenery. Thekkady combines Kerala’s plantation culture with wildlife landscapes and wellness traditions, creating a unique environment for luxury nature travel.

Later in the afternoon, guests may visit a spice plantation where cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla are cultivated. Plantation experts explain Kerala’s centuries-old spice trade history and traditional cultivation methods still practiced in the region today. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 11 Thekkady to Kochi

Morning begins with breakfast before descending gradually from Kerala’s mountain regions toward the historic coastal city of Kochi. The route passes rivers, plantations, countryside villages, and tropical landscapes while showcasing another dimension of Kerala’s natural beauty.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury heritage hotel within the Fort Kochi district. Kochi’s atmosphere feels highly artistic and cosmopolitan because of its long maritime history involving Portuguese, Dutch, Arab, Chinese, and British influence over several centuries.

Later in the afternoon, begin a guided heritage walk through Fort Kochi where colonial architecture, old churches, art cafés, spice warehouses, and waterfront promenades create a charming coastal environment. Guests may visit the famous Chinese Fishing Nets while learning about Kochi’s historical importance within the global spice trade. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 12 Departure from Kochi

After breakfast, private transfer arrangements are provided to Kochi International Airport for onward departure. Assistance is offered throughout the checkout and transfer process to ensure a smooth conclusion to the plantation and nature journey.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
