Royal Rajasthan Tour with Desert Safari :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, guests are welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred to their luxury hotel. Delhi introduces travelers to India’s historical depth through its blend of Mughal architecture, colonial avenues and modern cosmopolitan energy. After check-in, the remainder of the day remains relaxed following the international journey.

Later in the evening, enjoy a panoramic drive through New Delhi passing India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. Wide ceremonial boulevards and sandstone buildings create an elegant atmosphere reflecting the city’s colonial-era planning and political importance.

The evening concludes with fine dining at one of Delhi’s luxury restaurants where guests may enjoy refined North Indian cuisine or international specialties. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Heritage Exploration

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid followed by a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk where spice markets, narrow lanes and historic bazaars preserve the atmosphere of Mughal India.

Continue toward Humayun’s Tomb, regarded as one of India’s finest Mughal monuments and widely considered the architectural inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. Later, proceed to Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of India’s most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The afternoon remains free for shopping or leisure. Delhi’s luxury boutiques and artisan galleries offer excellent opportunities for handcrafted carpets, jewelry and contemporary Indian fashion. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

This morning, depart for Agra via India’s modern expressway network. Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel before beginning afternoon exploration of Mughal Agra. The city remains internationally admired because of its extraordinary architectural heritage and imperial history.

Visit Agra Fort where marble palaces, audience halls and royal courtyards reveal the sophistication of Mughal court life. Massive sandstone walls protect some of the empire’s most remarkable interiors overlooking the Yamuna River. Your guide will explain the stories of Emperor Akbar and Shah Jahan while exploring the fort complex.

As evening approaches, enjoy sunset views of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh across the river. The peaceful atmosphere and changing colors of the marble monument create exceptional photography opportunities. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4 Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur

Early this morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when soft golden light reflects beautifully across the white marble monument. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal remains one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces and symbols of eternal love.

After breakfast, continue toward Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri en route. Built during the reign of Emperor Akbar, the abandoned Mughal capital still preserves magnificent gateways, royal courtyards and red sandstone palaces reflecting the grandeur of Mughal architecture.

Arrive in Jaipur by evening and check into your luxury palace hotel. The evening remains free for relaxation or fine dining within the heritage surroundings of the property. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 Jaipur Royal Heritage

After breakfast, proceed for a guided exploration of Jaipur’s royal landmarks. Begin with Amber Fort positioned dramatically above the surrounding hills where mirror-work halls, royal courtyards and painted chambers reveal the artistic sophistication of Rajasthan’s Rajput rulers.

Continue toward the City Palace and Jantar Mantar where royal collections and astronomical instruments reflect Jaipur’s royal and scientific legacy. Later, stop at Hawa Mahal before enjoying time at artisan workshops specializing in gemstones, blue pottery and hand-block printed textiles.

The evening remains free for shopping or cultural experiences. Jaipur’s heritage atmosphere and luxury boutiques create one of India’s finest royal travel experiences. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur to Pushkar

Following breakfast, depart for Pushkar, one of India’s most sacred pilgrimage towns surrounded by desert hills and centered around a holy lake. Unlike Rajasthan’s royal capitals, Pushkar offers a peaceful spiritual atmosphere shaped by temples, ghats and centuries-old rituals.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury resort before visiting Pushkar Lake and the famous Brahma Temple, one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Pilgrims, priests and sacred ceremonies around the ghats create an atmosphere deeply connected to Hindu spiritual traditions.

As evening approaches, witness the peaceful temple rituals beside the lake while devotional chants and bells fill the air. Pushkar’s slower pace creates a refreshing contrast after the grandeur of Jaipur. Overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 7 Pushkar to Udaipur

After breakfast, continue toward Udaipur through scenic countryside and sections of the Aravalli Hills. Upon arrival, check into your luxury lakeside hotel overlooking Lake Pichola and the surrounding royal palaces.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola passing the famous Lake Palace and Jag Mandir while sunset colors reflect beautifully across the water. Udaipur’s elegant atmosphere and lakeside scenery create one of Rajasthan’s most romantic experiences.

The evening remains free for rooftop dining, spa treatments or lakeside relaxation within the luxury hotel surroundings. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 8 Udaipur Royal Heritage

This morning begins with a guided exploration of Udaipur’s magnificent City Palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Marble balconies, ornate courtyards, mirror-work halls and royal chambers preserve centuries of Mewar dynasty history while offering panoramic views across the surrounding lakes and hills.

Continue toward Jagdish Temple before exploring sections of the old city known for miniature paintings, silver jewelry and handcrafted textiles. Many artisan workshops here continue traditional techniques passed through generations.

Later, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari where marble fountains, lotus pools and shaded pathways create a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxed sightseeing. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 9 Udaipur to Ranakpur

Following breakfast, depart for Ranakpur through scenic sections of the Aravalli Hills. Along the route, travelers pass rural villages, marble workshops and peaceful countryside landscapes that reveal another side of Rajasthan beyond its royal capitals. The drive itself becomes part of the experience as the terrain gradually changes from lake regions toward forested valleys and granite hills.

Upon arrival, visit the remarkable Ranakpur Jain Temples, regarded among India’s greatest marble architectural masterpieces. Supported by hundreds of intricately carved pillars, the temple complex reflects extraordinary craftsmanship and spiritual devotion. Your guide will explain the symbolism, architectural precision and religious importance of Jain traditions while guests explore the beautifully carved interiors.

Later, check into your luxury heritage resort surrounded by natural scenery and peaceful surroundings. Unlike Rajasthan’s larger tourist cities, Ranakpur offers tranquility, fresh mountain air and a slower atmosphere ideal for relaxation. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Ranakpur.

Day 10 Ranakpur to Jodhpur

After breakfast, continue toward Jodhpur through Rajasthan’s changing landscapes and rural settlements. Arrive in the Blue City and check into your luxury heritage hotel before beginning evening exploration. Dominated by the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur carries a powerful royal atmosphere shaped by centuries of Rajput warrior history.

Guests may enjoy a relaxed heritage walk through selected old city lanes where spice markets, artisan workshops and traditional trading streets preserve the rhythm of daily life beneath the towering fort walls. The contrast between the blue-painted houses and the sandstone fort creates one of Rajasthan’s most dramatic cityscapes.

The evening concludes with rooftop dining overlooking the illuminated fort while traditional Marwari cuisine and live folk music create an authentic desert atmosphere. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 11 Jodhpur Royal Heritage

This morning begins with a detailed guided exploration of Mehrangarh Fort, regarded as one of India’s grandest and best-preserved forts. Massive stone gateways lead into richly decorated palaces filled with carved balconies, stained glass windows, painted ceilings and museum galleries preserving the history of Rajasthan’s Rathore dynasty.

From the fort terraces, panoramic views across Jodhpur’s blue old city provide extraordinary photography opportunities. Your guide will explain the military significance of the fort as well as the refined artistic traditions and royal lifestyle of Jodhpur’s rulers. The combination of architecture, history and dramatic scenery makes Mehrangarh one of Rajasthan’s most unforgettable landmarks.

Later, continue toward Jaswant Thada, the elegant marble cenotaph built beside a peaceful lake in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The afternoon remains free for shopping, spa experiences or relaxation at the hotel. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 12 Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Following breakfast, depart for Jaisalmer through the vast landscapes of the Thar Desert. Along the route, travelers witness camel caravans, desert villages and open golden plains reflecting the atmosphere of Rajasthan’s historic trade routes.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury desert camp or boutique heritage haveli before beginning evening exploration. Jaisalmer rises dramatically from the desert like a golden mirage with sandstone architecture glowing beautifully under the evening light. Unlike Rajasthan’s larger cities, the atmosphere here feels more intimate and mysterious.

The evening may include rooftop dining overlooking the illuminated fort or relaxed walks through the old city’s narrow lanes. Traditional desert hospitality and candlelit settings create a memorable experience. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 13 Jaisalmer Fort & Desert Safari

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Jaisalmer Fort, one of the world’s few living forts where families, cafés, temples and artisan workshops still function within ancient sandstone walls. Narrow lanes, carved havelis and hidden courtyards preserve the atmosphere of Rajasthan’s medieval desert trade era.

Continue toward Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli where intricate stone carvings and elegant facades reveal the wealth and artistic sophistication of merchant families who once controlled caravan trade routes across the desert.

Later in the afternoon, proceed toward the Sam Sand Dunes for an unforgettable desert safari experience. Camel rides across rolling dunes, sunset views over the Thar Desert and traditional folk performances create one of the journey’s most atmospheric evenings. Guests enjoy luxury desert dining beneath the stars before returning to the camp or hotel. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 14 Jaisalmer to Bikaner

After breakfast, continue toward Bikaner, a royal desert city known for its forts, camel traditions and distinctive architecture. The route passes through remote desert landscapes and traditional settlements reflecting Rajasthan’s rugged western frontier culture.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage hotel before visiting the magnificent Junagarh Fort. Unlike many forts in Rajasthan built upon hilltops, Junagarh rises from the desert plains and contains beautifully preserved palaces, marble courtyards and richly decorated interiors.

The evening remains free for leisure or cultural experiences within the hotel’s heritage surroundings. Bikaner’s quieter atmosphere and desert charm provide a unique contrast to Rajasthan’s larger tourist cities. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

Day 15 Bikaner to Mandawa

This morning, depart for Mandawa located in the Shekhawati region, often called Rajasthan’s open-air art gallery because of its extraordinary painted havelis and merchant mansions. Along the route, guests witness changing landscapes filled with desert villages and historic trading towns.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage haveli before beginning exploration of Mandawa’s beautifully painted streets. Frescoes, courtyards and intricately decorated mansions reveal the wealth of merchant families who once prospered through caravan trade across Rajasthan.

The slower pace of Mandawa allows travelers to appreciate Rajasthan’s artistic heritage away from larger tourist crowds. Evening at leisure within the heritage property surroundings. Overnight stay in Mandawa.

Day 16 Mandawa to Gurugram

Following breakfast, continue toward Gurugram near Delhi. The route gradually transitions from Rajasthan’s historic desert landscapes toward modern urban India. Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel where guests may relax after the extensive Rajasthan journey.

The remainder of the day remains free for shopping, wellness experiences or leisure at the hotel. Gurugram’s luxury hotels, fine dining and contemporary atmosphere provide a comfortable conclusion before international departure arrangements.

In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner celebrating the remarkable journey through Rajasthan’s forts, palaces, sacred towns and desert landscapes. Overnight stay in Gurugram.

Day 17 Departure from Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi International Airport for your onward journey. Assistance will be provided throughout the departure process to ensure a smooth and comfortable conclusion to your luxury Rajasthan holiday.

Throughout the journey, guests have experienced Mughal architecture, sacred pilgrimage towns, desert safaris, royal forts, marble temples and palace hospitality while traveling through some of India’s most extraordinary destinations.   because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
