Royal Experiences with Taj – Travel Like Royalty :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Jaipur

Upon arrival at Jaipur Airport, guests are welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred to their luxury Taj hotel. Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City, remains one of India’s most celebrated royal destinations where grand palaces, colorful bazaars and Rajput heritage continue to shape daily life. After check-in, the remainder of the afternoon is reserved for relaxation within the elegant surroundings of your luxury hotel.

Later in the evening, begin a gentle introduction to Jaipur with a panoramic drive through the old city. Pass historic gateways, bustling local markets and beautifully illuminated heritage buildings while your guide shares stories about the city’s royal history and architectural planning. Unlike many Indian cities that evolved organically, Jaipur was carefully designed according to principles of astronomy and urban symmetry.

The evening concludes with a refined dining experience featuring authentic Rajasthani cuisine served in a luxury setting. Traditional flavors, royal recipes and warm hospitality create a memorable first impression of Rajasthan. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 2 Jaipur Royal Heritage Tour

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day guided exploration of Jaipur’s royal landmarks. Begin at Amber Fort, located on a hilltop outside the city and regarded as one of Rajasthan’s most magnificent palace-forts. Explore mirror-work halls, royal courtyards, hidden passageways and intricately painted chambers while learning about the Rajput rulers who once governed the region.

Continue toward the City Palace complex located in the heart of Jaipur. The palace still houses sections used by the royal family while museums display ceremonial costumes, royal weapons and historical artifacts connected to Jaipur’s princely past. Nearby, visit Jantar Mantar, the UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory that reflects the scientific brilliance of the Rajput era.

During the afternoon, stop at Hawa Mahal, Jaipur’s iconic Palace of Winds, before enjoying time at luxury boutiques and artisan workshops. Jaipur is internationally known for gemstones, block printing, handcrafted jewelry and textiles. Guests may enjoy private shopping experiences curated according to personal interests. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3 Jaipur to Udaipur

Following breakfast, transfer to Jaipur Airport for your short flight to Udaipur. Upon arrival, proceed to your luxury Taj hotel overlooking the lakes and palaces that make Udaipur one of India’s most romantic destinations. Surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, the city offers a softer and more elegant atmosphere compared to Rajasthan’s larger royal capitals.

In the afternoon, begin sightseeing with a visit to the remarkable City Palace overlooking Lake Pichola. The palace complex combines marble balconies, ornate courtyards, mirror-work halls and royal chambers that preserve the history of the Mewar dynasty. The architecture reflects centuries of royal patronage and artistic refinement.

As evening approaches, enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola passing the famous Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. Sunset views across the water create one of the most beautiful experiences in Rajasthan. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 4 Udaipur Cultural Experiences

This morning begins with a relaxed exploration of Udaipur’s artistic and spiritual side. Visit Jagdish Temple, a beautifully carved Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, before continuing into the old city’s narrow lanes where traditional artisans still produce miniature paintings, handcrafted leather goods and silver jewelry.

Later, guests may visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, the historic garden created for royal women featuring fountains, marble pavilions and lotus pools. The peaceful atmosphere contrasts beautifully with the larger palace structures and reflects the refined lifestyle once enjoyed by the royal court.

The evening remains free for leisure. Guests may enjoy spa treatments, fine dining or rooftop experiences overlooking Lake Pichola. Luxury hospitality combined with Udaipur’s romantic scenery creates a memorable part of the journey. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 5 Udaipur to Jodhpur

After breakfast, drive toward Jodhpur through the changing landscapes of Rajasthan. Along the route, rural villages, marble temples and desert scenery gradually replace the lake region surrounding Udaipur. The journey provides insight into Rajasthan’s countryside and traditional way of life.

Arrive in Jodhpur and check into your luxury heritage hotel before beginning evening sightseeing. Dominated by the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur is known as the Blue City because of the distinctive blue-painted houses spread beneath the fort walls. The city carries a powerful desert atmosphere shaped by warrior history and royal traditions.

Guests may enjoy a relaxed evening walk through selected heritage areas followed by dinner featuring traditional Marwari cuisine. Rich flavors, royal recipes and desert-inspired dishes form an important part of Rajasthan’s culinary heritage. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 6 Jodhpur Sightseeing

The morning is dedicated to exploring Mehrangarh Fort, one of the grandest forts in India. Massive gateways lead into beautifully preserved palaces decorated with stained glass, carved stone balconies and intricate interiors. Museum galleries inside the fort display royal palanquins, weapons and historical collections connected to the Rathore dynasty.

Later, visit Jaswant Thada, an elegant marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Its peaceful gardens and reflective lake provide a quiet contrast to the imposing scale of Mehrangarh Fort. Continue toward the bustling clock tower market where local craftsmen sell spices, textiles and handicrafts unique to the region.

The evening remains free for relaxation at your luxury hotel. Guests may enjoy rooftop dining overlooking the illuminated fort or private cultural performances arranged within heritage settings. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 7 Jodhpur to Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, proceed to your luxury Taj hotel before beginning afternoon sightseeing in India’s capital city. Delhi combines layers of Mughal history, British colonial architecture and contemporary urban life unlike any other destination in the country.

Visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture and considered the design inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. Continue with a panoramic drive past India Gate, Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan where broad ceremonial avenues reflect the grandeur of colonial New Delhi.

The evening may include luxury shopping experiences, curated dining or relaxation within the hotel. Delhi’s cosmopolitan atmosphere offers an entirely different perspective compared to Rajasthan’s royal cities. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 8 Delhi to Kerala & Departure

Following breakfast, transfer to Delhi Airport for your onward flight to Kerala. Depending on international flight arrangements, guests may continue directly onward or extend their stay in Kerala for backwaters, wellness and coastal experiences. Assistance will be provided throughout the departure and transfer process.

Although relatively shorter in duration, the journey has connected some of India’s most refined destinations through palace hospitality, cultural heritage and carefully curated luxury experiences. Rajasthan’s forts, lakes and royal traditions combined beautifully with Delhi’s historic grandeur to create a memorable luxury India holiday.

Your Royal Experiences with Taj journey concludes with lasting memories of India’s architecture, hospitality, cuisine and heritage-inspired luxury travel.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
