Rajasthan Group Heritage & Desert Tour

13 Nights/14 Days   Fully Guided Tours   Private Car

Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Bikaner - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Delhi

Trip Overview

The Rajasthan Group Heritage & Desert Tour is a magnificent 13-night, 14-day fully guided journey designed for groups of 10 to 20 travelers who want to experience the full sweep of Rajasthan's royal heritage, desert landscapes, and living cultural traditions together. This itinerary covers an exceptional range of destinations - from the Mughal grandeur of Delhi and Agra to the Pink City of Jaipur, the camel-breeding city of Bikaner with its extraordinary rat temple, the golden dunes of Jaisalmer, the blue-painted splendour of Jodhpur, and finally the romantic lake palaces of Udaipur - making it one of the most comprehensive Rajasthan group tours available.

What sets this tour apart is its inclusion of Bikaner - a fascinating, less-visited royal city that most standard Rajasthan itineraries overlook entirely. Bikaner's magnificent Junagarh Fort, its atmospheric old city havelis, and the famously quirky Karni Mata Temple (home to thousands of sacred rats) add a layer of authentic, off-the-beaten-path Rajasthan that group travelers thoroughly enjoy and remember long after the more famous sights have faded.

The tour is operated in a private air-conditioned coach exclusively for your group, with a dedicated professional guide, carefully selected group-friendly hotels, and a pace that balances sightseeing with enough leisure time for the group to breathe, explore independently, and enjoy each destination fully.

Highlights of the Tour :
  • Sunrise visit to the iconic Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
  • Explore Old and New Delhi - Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, and India Gate.
  • Elephant ride at the grand Amber Fort overlooking Jaipur's Maota Lake.
  • Visit the Pink City's City Palace, Jantar Mantar observatory, and Hawa Mahal.
  • Explore Bikaner's magnificent Junagarh Fort - one of Rajasthan's finest and least-visited.
  • Visit the extraordinary Karni Mata Temple - the famous rat temple of Bikaner.
  • Camel safari across the golden Sam Sand Dunes at sunset near Jaisalmer.
  • Overnight desert camp in Jaisalmer with group bonfire, folk music, and starlit skies.

  • Boat ride on the shimmering Lake Pichola past the legendary Lake Palace, Udaipur.
  • Visit Udaipur's City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and the royal garden of Saheliyon ki Bari.
  • Private AC coach exclusively for the group throughout the entire journey.
  • Dedicated professional English-speaking group tour guide throughout.

In the evening, gather for a group welcome dinner at the hotel or a nearby restaurant - a warm start to what promises to be an extraordinary journey together. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, the group sets out on a full-day guided Delhi tour. In Old Delhi, ride cycle rickshaws through the legendary lanes of Chandni Chowk, visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, and walk past the towering red sandstone walls of the Red Fort - sights that immediately immerse the group in the depth of India's Mughal history.

In New Delhi, visit the UNESCO-listed Humayun's Tomb, the soaring Qutub Minar, and enjoy a scenic evening drive past India Gate and the grand colonial boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, the coach transfers the group to Agra (approx. 230 km / 4–5 hrs). Upon arrival, visit the formidable Agra Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site of towering red sandstone walls, royal palaces, and riverside audience halls that served as the seat of Mughal power for over a century. In the evening, head to Mehtab Bagh across the Yamuna River for a stunning group sunset view of the Taj Mahal glowing in the fading light - a memorable first glimpse of the monument for the entire group. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.

Day 4 Taj Mahal Sunrise & Drive to Jaipur

The group rises early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal - standing together before one of the Seven Wonders of the World as its white marble dome shifts from pale rose to brilliant gold in the morning light is a shared experience that bonds a group unlike almost anything else. After breakfast, drive toward Jaipur, stopping at the ghost Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site of red sandstone palaces and the towering Buland Darwaza gateway. Arrive in Jaipur and check in to the group hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed every Friday

Day 5 Jaipur Sightseeing - Part 1

After breakfast, the group heads to the unmissable Amber Fort - the 16th-century UNESCO-listed hill fort-palace above Maota Lake - for the most popular group experience in Jaipur: the elephant ride up the cobbled ramp to the fort's grand gateway. Inside, explore the spectacular Sheesh Mahal, the painted Ganesh Pol, and the sweeping lake views from the fort's upper terraces. In the afternoon, photograph the iconic Hawa Mahal and the dreamy Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake, followed by free time for the group to explore Jaipur's colourful walled city bazaars. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur Sightseeing - Part 2 & Drive to Bikaner

After breakfast, visit the grand City Palace - the magnificent royal complex of the Jaipur royal family with its exceptional museums of arms, textiles, and miniature paintings - and the remarkable Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, where 19 monumental stone instruments including the world's largest sundial never fail to fascinate group visitors. After lunch, drive to Bikaner (approx. 330 km / 5–6 hrs) - a royal desert city that most Rajasthan tours miss entirely. Check in to the group hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at hotel in Bikaner.

Day 7 Bikaner Sightseeing & Drive to Jaisalmer

After breakfast, explore Bikaner's remarkable heritage. The centrepiece is the Junagarh Fort - one of the finest forts in Rajasthan, never conquered in its entire history, its palaces within are extraordinary showcases of Rajput and Mughal decorative art. Visit the Karni Mata Temple at nearby Deshnok - the famous rat temple where thousands of sacred rats roam freely and are revered as holy, a uniquely fascinating and amusing experience that groups invariably talk about for the rest of the trip. After lunch, drive to Jaisalmer (approx. 330 km / 5–6 hrs) - the Golden City. Check in upon arrival. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 8 Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Camp

After breakfast, explore the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort - Sonar Qila - a UNESCO-listed living fort of honey-gold sandstone where thousands of people still live within walls built in 1156 AD. Visit the ornate Patwon Ki Haveli and the carved Nathmal Ki Haveli, and the peaceful Gadsisar Lake on the city's edge. In the late afternoon, the group drives to the Sam Sand Dunes for a shared camel safari across the golden dunes at sunset - one of the most joyful and memorable group experiences of the entire tour.

Arrive at the desert camp for a group evening around a bonfire with live folk music, traditional Rajasthani dance, a hot dinner under the open desert sky, and a canopy of brilliant stars above the Thar. Overnight stay at Desert Camp, Jaisalmer.

Day 9 Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

After watching the desert sunrise over the dunes, enjoy a camp breakfast before driving to Jodhpur (approx. 290 km / 5–6 hrs) - the Blue City of Rajasthan, where a colossal medieval fortress dominates the skyline above a sea of indigo-painted houses, spice markets, and ancient temples. Check in to the group hotel. In the evening, the group gathers for a rooftop walk or chai stop in the Clock Tower Bazaar - Jodhpur's famous, fragrant, endlessly entertaining heart. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 10 Jodhpur Sightseeing

After breakfast, a full day exploring Jodhpur's magnificent heritage. The highlight is the awe-inspiring Mehrangarh Fort - rising 125 metres sheer above the blue city, its elaborately decorated palaces and ramparts offer some of the most dramatic views in all of Rajasthan, and the group museum audio tour within the fort is among the best in India. Visit the exquisite white marble Jaswant Thada cenotaph and take a guided group walk through the narrow, indigo-painted lanes of the old city below the fort - a walk full of colour, character, and wonderful photographic moments. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 11 Jodhpur to Udaipur

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur (approx. 260 km / 5 hrs). En route, stop at the breathtaking Ranakpur Jain Temples - a vast marble complex of 1,444 uniquely carved pillars set in a peaceful forested valley, one of the most remarkable architectural achievements in western India and a highlight that consistently surprises and delights group travelers who encounter it for the first time. Arrive in Udaipur and check in to the group hotel. In the evening, enjoy a shared boat ride on Lake Pichola as the palaces glow in the last light of day. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 12 Udaipur Sightseeing

A full day to discover Udaipur's extraordinary palaces, temples, and gardens. Visit the magnificent City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan with its exceptional museums and sweeping lake views - the carved Jagdish Temple, the enchanting royal garden of Saheliyon ki Bari with its marble fountains and lotus pools, and the lakefront Bagore Ki Haveli, where the evening Rajasthani folk dance performance is always a favourite with groups - colourful, energetic, and wonderfully entertaining.   because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence. Thank you Top Indian Holidays!  ...Read More

We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
