Rajasthan Family Wildlife Safari Tour :- Detail Itinerary

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, our representative will warmly receive your family and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest, recover from your flight, and settle in. In the evening, take a gentle stroll around Connaught Place or enjoy a relaxed family dinner at a nearby restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, your private guide takes the family on a full-day Delhi tour covering the very best of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk, visit the towering Jama Masjid, and walk past the grand red sandstone walls of the Red Fort - sights that immediately plunge the family into India's extraordinary Mughal history.

In New Delhi, visit the UNESCO-listed Humayun's Tomb and the soaring Qutub Minar, before a scenic evening drive past India Gate and the grand boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra (approx. 230 km / 4–5 hrs). Upon arrival, visit the mighty Agra Fort - a UNESCO-listed red sandstone fortress of palaces, mosques, and royal apartments along the Yamuna River. In the evening, head to Mehtab Bagh for a serene sunset view of the Taj Mahal glowing across the river - one of the most beautiful and crowd-free views of the monument, and a magical family moment. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.

Day 4 Taj Mahal Sunrise & Drive to Ranthambore

Rise before dawn for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an experience that leaves every member of the family genuinely speechless. After breakfast, check out and drive to Ranthambore (approx. 250 km / 5 hrs), one of India's most famous and accessible tiger reserves. Check in to your jungle resort, and spend the evening being briefed on tomorrow's safari while soaking in the atmosphere of the forest. Overnight stay at jungle resort in Ranthambore.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed every Friday

Day 5 Ranthambore Wildlife Safari

Today belongs entirely to the jungle. Set out at dawn for your first open-jeep wildlife safari deep into Ranthambore National Park - home to Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, jackals, crocodiles, sambar deer, and over 300 species of birds. The thrill of tracking a tiger through the dry deciduous forest, with the ancient ruins of Ranthambore Fort rising dramatically in the background, is an experience unlike anything else in India.

In the afternoon, enjoy a second safari for another opportunity to spot wildlife in the golden afternoon light. The park's open grasslands, lakes, and rocky ridges make each safari a completely different experience. Overnight stay at jungle resort in Ranthambore.

Day 6 Ranthambore to Jaipur

After an early morning nature walk or a final optional safari, drive to Jaipur (approx. 180 km / 3.5 hrs) - the Pink City and capital of Rajasthan. Check in to your hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, explore the vibrant walled city bazaars - Johari Bazaar for gemstones, Bapu Bazaar for block-printed textiles, and the smaller lanes for Rajasthani puppets, lacquerware bangles, and blue pottery - a treasure trove for the whole family. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 7 Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, the family heads to the iconic Amber Fort for the most anticipated experience of Jaipur - the elephant ride up the cobbled ramp to the fort's grand gateway. Inside, explore the dazzling Sheesh Mahal, the painted Ganesh Pol gateway, and the sweeping views over Maota Lake. In the afternoon, stop for photos at the iconic Hawa Mahal and the floating Jal Mahal on Man Sagar Lake, then visit the City Palace museum and the extraordinary Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory - where the world's largest sundial is a particular favourite with curious young minds. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 8 Jaipur to Pushkar

After breakfast, drive to Pushkar (approx. 145 km / 3 hrs) - one of India's most sacred and enchanting small towns, set around a holy lake and home to the rare Brahma Temple, one of the very few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon exploring the colourful bazaars selling silver jewellery, tie-dye fabrics, and Rajasthani handicrafts. In the evening, witness the beautiful Pushkar Lake Aarti - oil lamps floated on the water at dusk in a deeply atmospheric evening ritual. Overnight stay at hotel in Pushkar.

Day 9 Pushkar to Jodhpur

After a relaxed breakfast, take a morning walk along the Pushkar Lake ghats and visit the Brahma Temple before checking out. Drive to Jodhpur (approx. 200 km / 4 hrs) - the Blue City of Rajasthan, where a colossal medieval fortress dominates the skyline above a labyrinth of indigo-painted houses and ancient spice markets. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take the family for an evening walk through the famous Clock Tower Bazaar for Jodhpur's legendary makhaniya lassi and the first dramatic rooftop view of Mehrangarh Fort. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 10 Jodhpur Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore Jodhpur with your private guide. The centrepiece of the day is the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort - rising 125 metres sheer above the blue city, its palaces are among the most elaborately decorated in all of Rajasthan, and the views from its ramparts over the sea of blue rooftops and the desert plains beyond are simply unforgettable. Visit the delicate white marble Jaswant Thada cenotaph and take a guided walk through the narrow, indigo-painted lanes of the old city below the fort - a walk that children find utterly fascinating. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 11 Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer (approx. 290 km / 5–6 hrs) - the Golden City, rising from the flat sands of the Thar Desert like a vision from a fairy tale, its massive honey-gold sandstone ramparts glowing in the desert sun. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and visit the extraordinary Jaisalmer Fort - Sonar Qila - a UNESCO-listed living fort where thousands of people still live, work, and worship within walls built in 1156 AD. Wander its ancient lanes, visit the ornate Jain temples within, and browse the small shops as the fort walls glow amber at dusk. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 12 Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Camp

After breakfast, explore the golden city - visit the intricately carved Patwon Ki Haveli, the fascinating Nathmal Ki Haveli, and the peaceful Gadsisar Lake on the edge of the city. In the late afternoon, drive to the Sam Sand Dunes (approx. 45 km) for a family camel safari across the rolling golden dunes as the desert sun sets and the sands turn deep crimson and rose.

Arrive at your luxury desert camp for an evening the whole family will never forget - folk music around a bonfire, traditional Rajasthani dance performances, a hot dinner under the open sky, and a ceiling of stars so vast and brilliant that the children will simply refuse to go inside. Overnight stay at Desert Camp, Jaisalmer.

Day 13 Jaisalmer to Udaipur

Wake early to watch the desert sunrise over the Sam Sand Dunes together - a golden, peaceful, utterly beautiful moment to close the Jaisalmer chapter. After camp breakfast, drive to the nearest airport or railway station and travel to Udaipur - the City of Lakes, widely regarded as one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in the world. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy a family boat ride on Lake Pichola past the legendary Lake Palace and Jag Mandir as the evening light turns everything gold. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 14 Udaipur Sightseeing

A full day to explore Udaipur's magnificent palaces and lakeside gardens. Visit the grand City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan with breathtaking views over Lake Pichola - the carved Jagdish Temple, the beautiful royal garden of Saheliyon ki Bari with its marble fountains and lotus pools, and the lakefront Bagore Ki Haveli, where an evening folk dance performance is a wonderfully entertaining and colourful experience for children and adults alike. In the late afternoon, walk along the Fateh Sagar Lake promenade and watch the sun set behind the Aravalli hills. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
