Rajasthan Family Tour :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi Arrival

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, our representative will receive your family and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to rest and recover from your journey. In the evening, take a gentle walk around Connaught Place or enjoy dinner at a nearby family-friendly restaurant. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast, your private guide takes the family on a full-day Delhi tour. In Old Delhi, ride cycle rickshaws through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk, visit the grand Jama Masjid, and walk past the towering red walls of the Red Fort. The kids will love the energy and colour of Old Delhi's streets - the smells of street food, the chaos of the markets, and the thrill of the rickshaw weaving through the crowds.

In New Delhi, visit Humayun's Tomb and the soaring Qutub Minar - both UNESCO World Heritage Sites - before a scenic evening drive past India Gate and the grand colonial boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra (approx. 230 km / 4–5 hrs). En route, stop at Sikandra to visit Akbar's Tomb, a beautifully peaceful Mughal garden mausoleum. Upon arrival in Agra, visit the mighty Agra Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site of towering red sandstone walls, royal palaces, and riverside pavilions. In the evening, head to Mehtab Bagh for a romantic family sunset view of the Taj Mahal across the Yamuna River. Overnight stay at hotel in Agra.

Day 4 Agra Taj Mahal & Drive to Jaipur

Rise early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an experience that genuinely moves visitors of every age. After breakfast, check out and drive toward Jaipur, stopping en route at the ghost Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site of red sandstone palaces and the grand Buland Darwaza gateway. Continue to Jaipur, check in to your hotel, and explore the vibrant local bazaars in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Note: Taj Mahal is closed every Friday.

Day 5 Jaipur Sightseeing - Part 1

After breakfast, head to the magnificent Amber Fort for your family's most anticipated experience - the elephant ride up the cobbled ramp to the fort entrance. Explore the dazzling Sheesh Mahal, the Ganesh Pol gateway, and the sweeping views over Maota Lake below. In the afternoon, stop for photos at the iconic Hawa Mahal and the ethereal Jal Mahal floating on Man Sagar Lake, before diving into Jaipur's colourful bazaars for gemstones, block-printed fabrics, and Rajasthani handicrafts. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur Sightseeing - Part 2 & Drive to Ranthambore

After breakfast, visit the City Palace - the grand royal complex of the Jaipur royal family - and the remarkable Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, where the world's largest sundial is a particular hit with curious young minds. After lunch, drive to Ranthambore (approx. 180 km / 3.5 hrs), one of India's most famous tiger reserves. Check in to your jungle resort, brief the family on tomorrow's safari, and enjoy an early dinner before resting up for the morning adventure. Overnight stay at resort in Ranthambore.

Day 7 Ranthambore Tiger Safari & Drive to Bundi

The highlight of the day - an early morning open-jeep wildlife safari into Ranthambore National Park. The park is home to Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, sambar deer, and over 300 species of birds. Spotting a tiger in the wild is an experience that no child - or adult - ever forgets. After the safari and breakfast, drive to the charming, lesser-visited royal town of Bundi (approx. 150 km / 3 hrs). Check in and spend the evening exploring Bundi's famous painted havelis and the magnificent step-well, Raniji ki Baori. Overnight stay at hotel in Bundi.

Day 8 Bundi Sightseeing & Drive to Udaipur

After breakfast, explore the hidden treasures of Bundi - the dramatically situated Taragarh Fort with sweeping hilltop views, the beautifully painted Chitrashala courtyard within Bundi Palace, and the extraordinary Raniji ki Baori step-well, one of the finest in all of Rajasthan. Bundi is a place of quiet magic that most tourists miss entirely, which makes it all the more special. After lunch, drive to Udaipur (approx. 210 km / 4 hrs), the City of Lakes. Check in and enjoy a family boat ride on Lake Pichola at sunset. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 9 Udaipur Sightseeing

A full day to discover Udaipur's palaces and lakeside beauty. Visit the magnificent City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan with extraordinary views of Lake Pichola - the 17th-century Jagdish Temple, the lovely royal garden of Saheliyon ki Bari with its lotus pools and marble fountains, and the lakefront Bagore Ki Haveli, where an evening folk dance performance brings Rajasthani music and culture to life in a wonderfully entertaining way that children thoroughly enjoy. In the late afternoon, stroll along the serene Fateh Sagar Lake promenade. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 10 Udaipur to Jodhpur

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur (approx. 260 km / 5 hrs). En route, stop at the stunning Ranakpur Jain Temples - a breathtaking complex of marble temples featuring 1,444 uniquely carved pillars, no two alike, set in a peaceful forest valley. Even young children are awed by the scale and intricacy of the carving. Upon arrival in Jodhpur, check in to your hotel and take an evening walk through the Clock Tower Bazaar for spices, sweets, and Jodhpur's famous makhaniya lassi. Overnight stay at hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 11 Jodhpur Sightseeing & Drive to Jaisalmer

After breakfast, visit the colossal Mehrangarh Fort - rising 125 metres sheer above the blue city, its palaces and ramparts offer the family some of the most dramatic views in all of Rajasthan. Visit the Jaswant Thada marble cenotaph and take a walk through the famous blue-painted lanes of the old city below the fort. After lunch, drive to Jaisalmer (approx. 290 km / 5 hrs), the Golden City of the Thar Desert. Check in to your hotel upon arrival. Overnight stay at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 12 Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Camp

After breakfast, explore the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort - Sonar Qila - a UNESCO-listed living fort where people still reside within ancient sandstone walls. Visit the ornate Patwon Ki Haveli, the carved Nathmal Ki Haveli, and the peaceful Gadsisar Lake. In the late afternoon, drive to the Sam Sand Dunes for a family camel safari across the golden dunes at sunset - a thrilling, joyful experience for children and adults alike. Arrive at your desert camp for an evening of folk music, traditional dance, a bonfire under the stars, and a sky so full of stars that the children will simply not want to go to sleep. Overnight stay at Desert Camp, Jaisalmer.

Day 13 Jaisalmer to Delhi

Wake early to catch the desert sunrise over the dunes - one of the most peaceful and beautiful sights in India. After camp breakfast, drive back to Jaisalmer city and transfer to the airport or railway station for your journey to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, check in to your hotel or proceed directly to your international departure terminal depending on your flight schedule. Overnight stay at hotel in Delhi (if required).

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence. Thank you Top Indian Holidays!  ...Read More

We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
