Queer Travel Golden Triangle with Goa & Mumbai :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Welcome to India - Five Cities, Eleven Days of Pure Discovery

Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, your personal representative will be waiting with a name board to escort you to your private air-conditioned vehicle. You will be transferred smoothly to your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming hotel in Delhi.

The rest of the day is entirely yours - rest, refresh, and absorb the extraordinary energy of one of the world's great capital cities. Delhi at night has a magic all its own - if energy permits, your driver can take you for an informal evening drive past the illuminated India Gate and the elegant boulevards of Lutyens' Delhi. Your guide will meet you this evening to introduce himself and brief you warmly on the remarkable journey that lies ahead.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Full Day Delhi Sightseeing

A City Built by Empires - Old Delhi & New Delhi

After breakfast, your private English-speaking guide collects you for a full and deeply rewarding day exploring both Old Delhi and New Delhi - two magnificent worlds that exist side by side in this extraordinary city of layered history and relentless present-tense energy.

Begin in Old Delhi with a thrilling rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk - the ancient market street alive with spice merchants, silk shops, street food vendors, and the extraordinary sensory richness of a place that has been the commercial heart of Delhi since the 17th century. Visit the towering Jama Masjid - India's largest mosque - and the magnificent Red Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose red sandstone ramparts once enclosed the most splendid royal court on earth. Pay your respects at the serene Raj Ghat - Gandhi's simple black marble memorial set in quiet gardens beside the Yamuna River.

Move into New Delhi for a scenic drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Parliament House before visiting the soaring Qutub Minar - the world's tallest brick minaret - and the hauntingly beautiful Humayun's Tomb - the garden mausoleum that established the architectural language of the Mughal Empire and directly inspired every element of the Taj Mahal.

Return to your hotel for dinner and rest after a rich and thoroughly satisfying day.

Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

The Taj Mahal - Love's Most Perfect Monument

After breakfast and hotel checkout, your private vehicle departs for Agra - approximately 3.5 to 4 hours by road. Once the magnificent capital of the Mughal Empire, Agra is today a city whose name means one thing above all others - the Taj Mahal.

Check into your LGBTQ+ friendly hotel before heading out for your first afternoon visit to this wonder of the world. Built between 1632 and 1653 by Emperor Shah Jahan as an eternal tribute to his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is simultaneously the world's most perfect building and its most powerful declaration that love - true, abiding, devoted love - deserves to be celebrated and made permanent. Walking through the Great Gate and seeing it for the first time is one of those rare travel experiences that genuinely takes your breath away.

After the Taj Mahal, visit the formidable Agra Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and the exquisitely carved Itmad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) whose intricate inlaid stonework pioneered the techniques that would reach their zenith in the Taj Mahal itself.

Return to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Overnight stay in Agra. Note: The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday.

Day 4 Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri

Sunrise at the Taj - Then the Pink City Awaits

Rise early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal - the most magical and emotionally powerful time to experience this wonder of the world, as the monument shifts from silver shadow to brilliant luminous white in the extraordinary first light of morning.

Return to your hotel for breakfast and checkout. Begin the scenic drive to Jaipur - approximately 5 hours - with a wonderful stop at the perfectly preserved abandoned Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri and the spectacular Chand Baori step wells at Abhaneri - 3,500 steps descending 20 meters in perfect geometric symmetry, one of Rajasthan's most extraordinary and photogenic ancient structures.

Arrive in Jaipur in the evening and check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming heritage hotel in the Pink City - one of India's most beautiful and romantic destinations, its rose-pink architecture glowing warmly in the Rajasthan evening light.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing

Royal Rajasthan - Forts, Palaces & the Pink City

After breakfast, your private guide takes you on a full and deeply enjoyable day of sightseeing through Jaipur - the magnificent planned city of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, founded in 1727 and one of India's finest and best-preserved historic cities.

Begin with the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur's most recognizable landmark, its extraordinary facade of 953 latticed windows one of the most photographed images in all of India. Drive to the commanding Amber Fort - a magnificent hilltop palace of Rajput grandeur with sweeping views over the surrounding hills and lakes. Pause at the ethereal Jal Mahal (Water Palace) - appearing to float serenely on the surface of Man Sagar Lake in a setting of genuine painterly beauty.

The afternoon brings visits to the magnificent City Palace - where the Maharaja of Jaipur still resides - the extraordinary Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and the Albert Hall Museum. End with a leisurely walk through Jaipur's famous heritage markets - block-print fabrics, blue pottery, Kundan jewellery, and handcrafted Rajasthani treasures in an irresistible parade of color and craft.

This evening, dine at one of Jaipur's celebrated rooftop restaurants with views over the glowing pink rooftops of the old city - a perfect end to a perfect day in Rajasthan.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur to Mumbai by Flight

From Royal Rajasthan to India's Greatest City

After breakfast and hotel checkout, transfer to Jaipur Airport for your flight to Mumbai - India's most cosmopolitan, most energetic, and most LGBTQ+ welcoming major city.

Upon arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, your representative will transfer you to your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming hotel - ideally located in South Mumbai or Bandra, Mumbai's most vibrant and inclusive neighborhoods.

Check in and freshen up before heading out for your first evening in Mumbai. There is no better introduction to this extraordinary city than a walk along Marine Drive - the sweeping waterfront promenade that curves along the Arabian Sea from Nariman Point to Chowpatty Beach, lined with art deco buildings and lit at night in a glittering arc that Mumbaikars have always called the Queen's Necklace.

From Marine Drive, make your way to the magnificent Gateway of India - Mumbai's most iconic landmark, the great basalt arch built in 1924 to commemorate the visit of King George V, standing at the waterfront in Colaba with the historic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel rising magnificently behind it. The Colaba neighborhood - Mumbai's oldest and most atmospheric quarter - is alive at night with restaurants, cafes, bars, and the particular energy of a city that never quite goes to sleep.

If energy and timing permit, explore Colaba Causeway - Mumbai's famous street market - for an informal first evening introduction to the city's extraordinary street life.

Overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 7 Full Day Mumbai Sightseeing

Bollywood, Bandra & the LGBTQ+ Soul of India's Greatest City

After breakfast, your private guide takes you on a full and genuinely fascinating day through Mumbai - a city of 21 million people, extraordinary contrasts, and a cultural richness that rewards the curious traveler at every turn.

Begin with a visit to Dhobi Ghat - the world's largest open-air laundry, an extraordinary spectacle of organized activity where hundreds of washermen beat, scrub, and hang thousands of garments in an open concrete complex that has been operating continuously since the 19th century. From here, drive through Dharavi - one of Asia's largest and most misunderstood urban communities, home to an extraordinary network of small industries, workshops, and businesses that generate an estimated one billion dollars in annual revenue and represent a remarkable story of human enterprise and resilience.

The afternoon takes you to Bandra - Mumbai's most cosmopolitan neighborhood and the heart of the city's LGBTQ+ social scene. Bandra's café culture, boutique shops, street art, and famously welcoming atmosphere make it the neighborhood where Mumbai most openly celebrates its diversity. Your guide can point out LGBTQ+ friendly cafes, galleries, and gathering spaces that make Bandra genuinely special for queer travelers. Visit the iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link - the magnificent cable-stayed bridge that connects Bandra to South Mumbai across the Arabian Sea - for photographs and spectacular views.

Drive along Carter Road - Bandra's beloved seafront promenade - as the sun begins to set over the Arabian Sea, the sky turning extraordinary shades of orange and pink above the water. This is one of Mumbai's finest evening experiences - and one of its most romantic.

End the day with dinner in Bandra - your guide can recommend restaurants ranging from Mumbai's finest seafood to authentic street food to international cuisines - in a neighborhood that consistently offers some of the best dining in India.

Overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 8 Mumbai to Goa by Flight

From India's Greatest City to Its Rainbow Capital

After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to Mumbai Airport for your short flight to Goa - approximately 1 hour in the air, but a world away in atmosphere, energy, and feeling.

Upon arrival at Goa Airport (Dabolim or Mopa), your representative will transfer you to your pre-selected LGBTQ+ friendly beach resort or boutique hotel. The rest of the afternoon is entirely yours - change into something comfortable, step onto the beach, and let Goa begin to work its extraordinary magic.

Goa's unique identity - shaped by 450 years of Portuguese colonial rule, its Christian heritage, its international tourism economy, and its long tradition of welcoming people from across the world - gives it a social openness, a relaxed cosmopolitan spirit, and a genuine culture of inclusion that sets it apart from anywhere else in India. Gay and lesbian travelers consistently rate Goa as their favorite destination in the entire country - and the moment you arrive, you immediately understand why.

In the evening, explore North Goa's beach scene - Vagator, Anjuna, and Baga beaches come alive at sunset with music, beach shacks, and the particular warm, easygoing energy that makes Goa evenings so irresistible.

Overnight stay in Goa.

Day 9 North Goa Sightseeing & Beach Day

Heritage, Cafes & Goa's Most Vibrant Beaches

After a relaxed breakfast, set out with your guide to explore the very best of North Goa - a day that balances cultural discovery with pure beach enjoyment.

Begin with Old Goa - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's most remarkable colonial quarters. The magnificent Basilica of Bom Jesus - housing the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier - and the grand Se Cathedral - one of the largest churches in Asia - are among the most stunning examples of Portuguese Baroque architecture anywhere in the world, their interiors of extraordinary gilded richness and their settings of genuine grandeur.

Continue to Panaji - Goa's charming, laid-back capital - and explore the colorful Latin Quarter of Fontainhas - a heritage neighborhood of narrow cobblestone lanes, pastel-painted Portuguese houses, art galleries, quirky cafes, and independent boutiques that has become increasingly beloved among LGBTQ+ travelers for its creative, bohemian, genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

The afternoon belongs entirely to the beach. Vagator and Anjuna are known for their dramatic red laterite cliffs, artistic international crowd, and LGBTQ+ friendly beach shacks - ideal for those who love beautiful scenery with a relaxed, creative energy. Baga and Calangute offer more action - watersports, beach markets, and people-watching in abundance.

This evening, explore Goa's famous Wednesday Flea Market at Anjuna or the Saturday Night Market at Arpora - sprawling, colorful, music-filled open-air markets that are among the most enjoyable evening experiences in all of Goa.

Overnight stay in Goa.

Day 10 South Goa - Serenity, Luxury & Sunset Beaches

The Quieter, More Beautiful Side of Goa

Today is dedicated to the quieter, more luxurious, more serene world of South Goa - a complete contrast to the energy of the north, with pristine white beaches, swaying coconut palms, and some of Goa's finest boutique resorts and seafood restaurants.

Visit Colva Beach - South Goa's longest and most popular stretch of sand - and the magnificent Palolem Beach - a perfect crescent-shaped bay that consistently ranks among the most beautiful beaches in all of Asia, its calm, shallow waters and gently curving shoreline making it ideal for swimming, kayaking, or simply floating in the warm Arabian Sea. Continue to Agonda Beach - quieter still, less visited, and consistently voted one of India's most beautiful beaches for its pristine natural setting and genuinely tranquil atmosphere. South Goa is a particular favorite among lesbian couples and LGBTQ+ travelers seeking privacy, romance, and a slower, more contemplative pace.

Spend the afternoon entirely at the beach - swimming, reading, watching the fishing boats return in the late afternoon, or simply lying in the shade of a coconut palm and doing absolutely nothing in the most enjoyable possible way. As the sun begins its descent toward the Arabian Sea, find a perfect spot on the beach or at a clifftop restaurant for one of Goa's legendary sunset dinners - fresh seafood, cold drinks, and the sky turning every shade of orange, gold, and pink above the water in a display of natural beauty that feels almost designed for romance.

Overnight stay in Goa.

Day 11 Goa Departure

Farewell from Rainbow Goa - Until India Calls You Back

Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast in Goa - perhaps on your hotel terrace with the sound of the sea, or at a favorite beach cafe with a last cup of strong Goan coffee and a plate of bebinca - the rich, layered Goan dessert that somehow tastes exactly like Goa feels.

The morning is free for any last-minute exploration - a final walk on the beach, some souvenir shopping at Mapusa Market or Anjuna, or simply a quiet hour watching the waves.

At the designated time, your private vehicle transfers you to Goa Airport for your onward flight - carrying with you the memories of eleven days that took you from the greatest monuments of imperial India to the most vibrant city on the subcontinent to the most beautiful beaches on the Arabian Sea. A journey that was, in every sense, complete.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
