Upon arrival at Kochi International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred privately to their luxury hotel. Kerala during monsoon immediately feels refreshing with tropical rain, cooler weather, lush greenery, and dramatic cloud-covered skies creating a beautiful atmosphere from the very beginning of the journey.

After check-in, guests may relax and settle into the slower rhythm of Kerala’s rainy season while enjoying the comfort and elegance of the luxury property. Fort Kochi’s colonial streets, sea breeze, and artistic atmosphere become especially charming during light monsoon showers.

Later in the evening, guests may enjoy a curated Kerala dining experience featuring coastal cuisine and regional specialties served within a heritage-inspired setting. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 2 Kochi to Athirapally

After breakfast, proceed toward Athirapally, home to Kerala’s most famous waterfall and one of the most spectacular monsoon destinations in South India. The scenic drive passes through tropical villages, dense greenery, rivers, and rain-soaked countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury nature retreat surrounded by forests and river scenery. During monsoon season, Athirapally Waterfalls become incredibly powerful and dramatic as huge volumes of water cascade through dense tropical forest landscapes.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy guided visits to the waterfall viewpoints while witnessing the raw beauty of Kerala’s monsoon season. Mist rising from the falls, heavy greenery, and the sound of flowing water create an unforgettable natural atmosphere ideal for photographers and nature lovers. Overnight stay in Athirapally.

Day 3 Athirapally to Munnar

Morning begins with breakfast followed by a scenic drive toward the mist-covered hill station of Munnar. The route climbs gradually through winding roads, waterfalls, spice plantations, and rain-covered valleys while monsoon clouds drift across the mountain slopes.

During the rainy season, Munnar’s tea gardens appear exceptionally vibrant with fresh greenery spread across the hills. Waterfalls overflow throughout the region while cool weather and drifting mist create one of Kerala’s most romantic and atmospheric landscapes.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by tea estates and mountain views. The remainder of the evening remains free for relaxation amidst rain-soaked hills and peaceful plantation surroundings. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4 Munnar Monsoon Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the tea-covered valleys while clouds drift across the mountains. Unlike peak tourist seasons, monsoon allows travelers to experience Munnar in a quieter and more intimate atmosphere with fewer crowds and more dramatic natural beauty.

Guests may enjoy scenic visits to Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and selected tea plantation viewpoints where mist and rain create breathtaking photographic conditions. Tea gardens during monsoon appear exceptionally lush and vibrant while waterfalls flow strongly throughout the region.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy Ayurvedic spa therapies, tea tasting sessions, or plantation walks within the luxury resort. Monsoon weather naturally complements Kerala’s wellness culture and slower travel rhythm. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 5 Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast, continue toward the forest and spice plantation region of Thekkady. The drive remains highly scenic during monsoon as rain-covered forests, waterfalls, and spice estates create dramatic landscapes throughout the journey.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by tropical greenery and cooler mountain weather. Thekkady’s forests become especially beautiful during the rainy season with dense vegetation, fresh mountain air, and mist moving through the hills.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy guided spice plantation visits where cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and pepper thrive in the moist monsoon climate. Evening remains peaceful with plantation dining experiences and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 6 Thekkady Nature and Wellness Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast followed by relaxed nature-focused experiences around the Periyar region. Monsoon season enhances the beauty of Kerala’s forests and creates ideal conditions for slower immersive travel experiences rather than rushed sightseeing.

Guests may enjoy guided nature walks, plantation trails, Ayurvedic wellness therapies, or quiet relaxation within the luxury resort. The cooler climate and tropical atmosphere make Thekkady especially suitable for wellness-focused luxury travel.

Later in the evening, guests may attend cultural performances including Kathakali dance or Kerala martial arts depending on availability. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 7 Thekkady to Alleppey

After breakfast, descend gradually from Kerala’s hills toward the peaceful backwater destination of Alleppey. The journey passes through tropical lowlands, canals, coconut groves, and rain-soaked countryside villages.

Upon arrival, board a luxury private houseboat designed for comfort and scenic cruising through Kerala’s monsoon backwaters. Rain falling gently across the canals while coconut trees reflect in the water creates a uniquely peaceful atmosphere during this season.

Fresh Kerala cuisine is served onboard while the houseboat glides through lagoons and waterways lined with traditional villages and paddy fields. Evening remains calm and atmospheric with overnight stay onboard the luxury houseboat in Alleppey.

Day 8 Alleppey to Kumarakom

Morning breakfast onboard the houseboat is followed by departure toward Kumarakom, one of Kerala’s most refined lake destinations located beside Vembanad Lake.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury lakefront resort known for its wellness-focused hospitality, private villas, and peaceful surroundings. During monsoon season, Kumarakom becomes exceptionally green and tranquil while light rainfall enhances the calm atmosphere around the backwaters.

The remainder of the day remains free for Ayurvedic spa therapies, yoga sessions, sunset boat rides, or quiet leisure time overlooking the lake. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 9 Kumarakom Leisure and Backwater Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the rain-soaked backwaters followed by a slower leisure day focused on wellness and relaxation. Kumarakom’s tropical atmosphere during monsoon feels deeply calming with drifting clouds, fresh greenery, and peaceful waterways surrounding the resort.

Guests may enjoy canoe rides through narrow canals, birdwatching experiences, or Ayurvedic wellness treatments inspired by Kerala’s traditional healing systems. Luxury hospitality and monsoon scenery together create a highly rejuvenating environment.

Later in the evening, guests may enjoy a farewell dining experience featuring Kerala seafood and traditional cuisine served beside the lake. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence. Thank you Top Indian Holidays!  ...Read More

We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
