Along the route, guests may stop at selected viewpoints and countryside cafés while enjoying the fresh mountain atmosphere. The peaceful landscapes and cooler weather provide a refreshing contrast to urban city life and immediately introduce the natural beauty of Karnataka’s hill regions.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by coffee estates and tropical greenery. The remainder of the day remains free for relaxation amidst the peaceful surroundings. Evening bonfire sessions and plantation-style dining can also be arranged for families. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 3 Coorg Sightseeing

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the plantation landscapes before starting a relaxed sightseeing tour of Coorg’s scenic attractions. Visit Abbey Falls where water flows through coffee plantations and forested hills creating one of the region’s most beautiful natural settings.

Continue toward Raja’s Seat, a historic viewpoint once used by the Coorg royal family for relaxation and sunset views. Panoramic valley landscapes, cool mountain breeze, and peaceful surroundings make the location especially enjoyable for families and photographers.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a guided coffee plantation experience where guests learn about coffee cultivation, harvesting, and processing methods used across Coorg’s estates. Evening remains free for wellness therapies or quiet leisure time within the resort. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 4 Coorg to Mysore

After breakfast, continue toward the royal heritage city of Mysore. The drive passes through countryside landscapes and smaller towns before gradually entering one of India’s most elegant historical cities associated with the Wodeyar dynasty.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury palace-style hotel before beginning an exploration of the famous Mysore Palace. Lavish royal halls, stained glass ceilings, chandeliers, carved doors, and ceremonial courtyards showcase the grandeur of Karnataka’s royal history.

Families may also enjoy local markets famous for sandalwood products, silk textiles, and traditional sweets. Mysore’s calm atmosphere and broad avenues make it particularly comfortable for family travel. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 5 Mysore to Ooty

Morning departure takes guests toward the famous hill station of Ooty located within the Nilgiri Hills. The scenic drive climbs gradually through forest roads, tea plantations, and mist-covered mountain valleys while cooler weather begins replacing the plains of Karnataka.

Along the route, guests may witness changing vegetation, wildlife landscapes, and panoramic viewpoints that make this drive one of the most scenic sections of the journey. Families especially enjoy the peaceful roads and dramatic mountain scenery spread across the Nilgiri region.

Upon arrival in Ooty, check into a luxury colonial-style resort surrounded by gardens and valley views. The evening remains free for relaxation amidst cool weather and quiet mountain surroundings. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 6 Ooty Sightseeing

Morning begins with breakfast followed by sightseeing across Ooty’s most beautiful attractions. Visit the Government Botanical Gardens where landscaped lawns, exotic flowers, and colonial-era charm create a peaceful atmosphere suitable for travelers of all ages.

Continue toward Ooty Lake where boating experiences and scenic walks can be enjoyed amidst the mountain environment. Tea plantations, eucalyptus forests, and quiet colonial neighborhoods further enhance the hill station atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon, return to the resort for leisure time. Guests may enjoy tea tasting sessions, spa therapies, or simply relax while overlooking the Nilgiri Hills. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 7 Ooty to Munnar

After breakfast, continue toward the scenic plantation hills of Munnar in Kerala. The drive remains highly rewarding with waterfalls, spice plantations, valleys, and tea-covered slopes accompanying the route.

As the journey progresses, the landscapes gradually shift from Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiri Hills into Kerala’s tropical plantation regions. Cool weather, fresh mountain air, and endless tea estates create one of the most beautiful drives in South India.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury plantation resort surrounded by tea gardens and valley views. Evening remains free for family leisure activities and overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 8 Munnar Sightseeing

Morning begins with breakfast overlooking the tea plantations before starting a scenic exploration of Munnar’s attractions including Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake.

Day 9 Munnar to Thekkady

After breakfast, depart from the tea-covered hills of Munnar and continue toward the forest and spice plantation region of Thekkady. The scenic drive passes through winding mountain roads, waterfalls, cardamom estates, and tropical forests while gradually introducing a more jungle-like atmosphere compared to Munnar’s open tea valleys.

Along the route, guests may stop at scenic viewpoints and spice gardens where cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and vanilla are cultivated across Kerala’s hills. The fragrance of the plantations and cooler mountain climate create a highly refreshing environment throughout the journey.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury nature resort surrounded by forest landscapes and spice plantations. The remainder of the day remains free for relaxation while families enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, plantation walks, and wellness facilities within the resort. Compared to traditional safari destinations, Thekkady offers a softer and more family-friendly wildlife atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy cultural performances including Kerala martial arts or Kathakali dance presentations depending on availability. Evening remains relaxed with leisure time amidst the forest surroundings and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 11 Thekkady to Alleppey

After breakfast, continue toward the famous backwater destination of Alleppey, one of Kerala’s most iconic family travel experiences. The drive gradually descends from the hills into tropical lowlands filled with coconut groves, canals, and peaceful countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival, guests board a luxury private houseboat designed for comfort, privacy, and scenic cruising across Kerala’s backwaters. Spacious family suites, elegant dining areas, open decks, and attentive hospitality create a highly relaxing environment while moving slowly through the waterways.

As the houseboat glides through canals and lagoons, families can observe traditional village life beside the backwaters including fishing communities, coconut farms, churches, and paddy fields. Fresh Kerala cuisine is served onboard while sunset reflections across the water create one of the most memorable moments of the journey. Overnight stay onboard the luxury houseboat in Alleppey.

Day 12 Alleppey to Kochi

Morning breakfast onboard the houseboat is followed by disembarkation and departure toward the historic coastal city of Kochi. The short drive passes through Kerala’s tropical villages and urban districts before gradually entering the colonial atmosphere of Fort Kochi.

Upon arrival, check into a luxury heritage hotel before beginning a guided exploration of Kochi’s cultural landmarks. Visit the famous Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, and old colonial streets lined with cafés, spice warehouses, and boutique stores.

Kochi’s multicultural atmosphere shaped by Portuguese, Dutch, Arab, and British influence creates a fascinating contrast after the mountain and backwater regions visited earlier in the itinerary. Evening remains free for waterfront dining and overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 13 Kochi Cultural Experiences

Morning begins with breakfast followed by further exploration of Kochi’s heritage districts. Families may visit Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, spice markets, and local artisan areas where Kerala’s trading and cultural history continues to remain visible.

Guests interested in cultural performances may attend a traditional Kathakali dance presentation where elaborate costumes, painted facial expressions, and classical storytelling introduce another dimension of Kerala’s artistic heritage. Kochi’s relaxed and artistic atmosphere makes the experience enjoyable for both adults and younger travelers.

Later in the afternoon, guests may enjoy shopping, café experiences, or wellness therapies within the hotel. The evening remains relaxed with luxury dining beside the Arabian Sea. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 14 Kochi Leisure Day

The day has been intentionally designed at a slower pace allowing families to relax before departure. Guests may choose optional activities including sunset cruises, private cooking experiences, wellness sessions, or quiet exploration of Fort Kochi’s heritage streets.

Unlike rushed itineraries, this family vacation includes slower leisure days ensuring travelers of all age groups remain comfortable and relaxed throughout the journey. Kochi’s tropical coastal atmosphere creates a peaceful conclusion after covering mountains, wildlife regions, tea plantations, and backwaters across South India.

Later in the evening, a farewell family dinner can be arranged within an elegant heritage setting while reflecting on the diverse experiences covered throughout Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Overnight stay in Kochi.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
