India’s capital city immediately introduces travelers to a refined blend of Mughal heritage, colonial elegance, modern architecture, and contemporary luxury hospitality. After your international flight, the remainder of the day is intentionally planned at a relaxed pace allowing time to settle comfortably before the royal journey across North India begins.

Depending on your arrival timing, enjoy a leisurely orientation drive through New Delhi where broad avenues, government buildings, diplomatic districts, and upscale commercial areas showcase the city’s sophisticated urban character. The contrast between old-world heritage and modern India becomes visible immediately, creating an engaging first impression for luxury travelers visiting the country.

Later in the evening, relax at your luxury hotel or enjoy dinner at one of Delhi’s renowned fine-dining restaurants offering modern Indian cuisine and international specialties. Your tour coordinator will also provide a detailed briefing regarding the upcoming luxury experiences across Rajasthan, wildlife reserves, and Mughal India. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing

The morning begins with a guided exploration of Old Delhi where historic bazaars, Mughal monuments, spice markets, and traditional trading streets continue to preserve the atmosphere of medieval India. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk while observing colorful local life, heritage shops, and centuries-old marketplaces filled with energy and tradition.

Visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques built during the Mughal era, admired for its grand courtyards and elegant Islamic architecture. The old city’s narrow lanes and vibrant cultural surroundings create a fascinating contrast compared to the spacious colonial avenues of New Delhi visited later in the day.

Continue sightseeing with visits to India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar, all important landmarks reflecting Delhi’s rich architectural and political history. The combination of Mughal grandeur and colonial elegance provides an ideal introduction to North India’s heritage. Return to your luxury hotel for overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Jaisalmer

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan’s legendary desert city rising from the heart of the Thar Desert. Upon arrival, proceed toward your luxury heritage hotel while passing through golden sandstone streets, ancient havelis, and narrow lanes that immediately reflect the city’s historic trading legacy.

Later in the afternoon, begin exploring Jaisalmer Fort, one of the very few living forts in the world where local families still reside within its ancient walls. Intricately carved Jain temples, traditional homes, rooftop cafés, and artisan workshops create a remarkable atmosphere filled with history and cultural authenticity.

The evening becomes especially magical as the fort glows under sunset light while traditional Rajasthani hospitality, desert cuisine, and peaceful rooftop views create an unforgettable introduction to Rajasthan’s royal desert culture. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 4 Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Experience

The morning begins with visits to Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, two of Jaisalmer’s most beautifully decorated merchant mansions admired for intricate sandstone carvings and architectural detail. These heritage structures reveal the prosperity and artistic sophistication of Rajasthan’s historic desert trading communities.

Later, visit Gadisar Lake where temples, shrines, and peaceful waters create a calm atmosphere amidst the desert surroundings. Travelers often enjoy observing local life around the lake while admiring the reflections of sandstone architecture against the tranquil setting.

In the evening, proceed toward the Sam Sand Dunes for a luxury desert experience. Golden dunes stretching endlessly beneath the sunset create one of Rajasthan’s most iconic landscapes. Traditional folk performances, candle-lit dining, and starlit desert skies together create an unforgettable luxury experience within the Thar Desert. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 5 Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage hotel before beginning the afternoon sightseeing program. Dominated by the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort rising dramatically above the city, Jodhpur presents an impressive combination of royal grandeur and desert charm. Blue-painted houses spread beneath the fort create one of Rajasthan’s most recognizable landscapes.

The peaceful temple complex remains one of India’s most impressive spiritual and artistic landmarks.

Continue the drive toward Udaipur, Rajasthan’s romantic City of Lakes known for elegant palaces, calm waters, and royal heritage. Compared to the desert landscapes of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, Udaipur presents a greener and softer atmosphere surrounded by hills and lakes.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury palace-style hotel overlooking Lake Pichola or the surrounding hills. The evening can be spent relaxing while admiring illuminated palace views reflected beautifully across the calm waters. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

In the evening, enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola while admiring the City Palace, Jag Mandir, and the famous Lake Palace illuminated beautifully against the evening sky. The calm waters and royal surroundings create one of the most romantic experiences of any luxury Rajasthan tour. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 9 Udaipur to Jaipur

After breakfast, depart from Udaipur and continue toward Jaipur, Rajasthan’s celebrated Pink City known for royal architecture, vibrant bazaars, and cultural richness. The drive passes through changing landscapes including marble towns, traditional villages, and countryside regions where daily rural life still follows centuries-old traditions. Scenic roads and occasional hill stretches make the journey visually rewarding throughout the day.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into your luxury heritage hotel where traditional Rajput hospitality combines beautifully with modern comfort. Jaipur immediately feels energetic and colorful compared to the calmer lakeside atmosphere of Udaipur. Grand gateways, pink-painted buildings, artisan markets, and palace architecture create a memorable royal ambiance across the city.

Later in the evening, enjoy leisure time exploring Jaipur’s famous bazaars known for handcrafted jewelry, gemstones, block-printed fabrics, blue pottery, and traditional handicrafts. Travelers often appreciate walking through the lively streets while observing local artisans practicing traditional craftsmanship techniques passed down through generations. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 10 Jaipur Sightseeing

The morning begins with an excursion to Amber Fort located amidst the Aravalli Hills outside Jaipur. Massive gateways, royal courtyards, mirror-decorated halls, and beautifully painted chambers showcase the grandeur of Rajput architecture and royal lifestyle. After returning to the city, continue sightseeing with visits to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the iconic Hawa Mahal. The City Palace reflects the elegance of Jaipur’s royal heritage while Jantar Mantar demonstrates India’s remarkable scientific achievements through giant astronomical instruments constructed during the 18th century.

The reserve’s dry deciduous forests, lakes, grasslands, and open terrain provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings and photography. The anticipation of spotting a Bengal tiger creates excitement throughout the safari experience.

Apart from tigers, the park supports leopards, crocodiles, sloth bears, deer species, hyenas, jackals, and a rich variety of birdlife. Ancient ruins and hunting pavilions hidden within the forest further enhance the dramatic atmosphere of the reserve, making Ranthambore visually unique among India’s wildlife destinations.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation before heading out for another safari in the afternoon. Different safari zones often reveal changing landscapes and wildlife movement, ensuring that every safari experience feels completely different and rewarding. Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Upon arrival in Agra, check into your luxury hotel and relax briefly before beginning the evening sightseeing experience. Agra’s rich Mughal history and elegant architecture create a sophisticated atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with Rajasthan’s royal desert cities visited earlier in the itinerary.

Later, enjoy a peaceful sunset visit to Mehtab Bagh located across the Yamuna River. The garden offers magnificent views of the Taj Mahal during softer evening light while providing a calm atmosphere away from daytime crowds. The reflections of the monument during sunset create excellent photography opportunities and an unforgettable first impression of India’s most celebrated landmark. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 14 Agra Sightseeing

Early in the morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when the white marble monument glows beautifully under changing natural light. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal remains one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces and an enduring symbol of eternal love. Delicate marble inlay work, symmetrical gardens, and elegant craftsmanship continue to fascinate travelers from across the world.

After breakfast, continue sightseeing with a guided exploration of Agra Fort, an impressive red sandstone fortress that once served as the primary royal residence of Mughal emperors. Audience halls, royal apartments, marble pavilions, and riverfront balconies reveal fascinating stories connected to India’s Mughal dynasty.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy leisure time exploring Agra’s artisan workshops known for marble inlay craftsmanship inspired by Mughal artistry. Travelers often appreciate observing traditional techniques still practiced by local artisans today. Return to your hotel in the evening for overnight stay in Agra.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
