The Glimpses of Rajasthan tour showcases the vibrant colours of the state in a unique and incomparable way. The tour begins in the royal capital of Jaipur and travels through the deserted regions of Thar, visiting the desert triangle of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur. Udaipur eventually piques a traveller’s interest with its idyllic Lake Pichola and palaces.
The Jain temples of Osian and Ranakpur provide serene peace amidst the roars of ethnic traditions in this opulent city. At the end of this Rajasthan Glimpses tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Dargah of Ajmer Sharif as well as Pushkar's only Brahma temple. Another highlight of this tour is a visit to the Taj Mahal, one of India's architectural wonders.

Detail Itinerary

Transfer to the hotel upon arrival. Spend the night at the hotel.

Drive to Agra early in the morning; upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Visit the incomparable Taj Mahal and Agra Fort after relaxing. Stay the night at the hotel.

Drive to Jaipur, stopping along the way to see Fatehpur Sikri, an old deserted Mughal Dynasty town built in red sandstone in honour of Saint Salim Chisti. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival. In the evening, pay a visit to Birla Temple, a speculator white marble temple that glitters at night. Stay the night at the hotel.

Explore the Pink City with an excursion to Amber Fort, City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The Central Museum is not far away. The Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal. Evenings are free to visit the famous textile, gem, carpet, and handicraft markets. Jaipur is an excellent destination for souvenir shopping. Spend the night at the hotel.

Travel to Bikaner by car. Check into the hotel upon arrival. Spend the night at the hotel.

After breakfast, take a sight-seeing tour of Bikaner, including Junagadh Fort, which was built between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh. The fort has a 986-meter-long wall with 37 bastions and two entrances, Bhand Sagar Temple, the most important temple in this complex, and Camel Breeding Farm, one of Asia's most famous farms. Later, pay a visit to Lalgarh Palace, the home of Bikaner's royal family, before continuing on to Jaisalmer. Check into the hotel upon arrival. 

Take a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer that includes the Jaisalmer Fort, which is built on the highest point of the Trikuta hill and has 99 bastions. Outstanding features include Megh Durbar and various temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli and Patwon-Ki-Haveli - two beautiful mansions with intricate stone carving and latticework, and a visit to Gadisar Lake. Later, after lunch, drive 45 kilometres to Sam Sand Dunes. Enroute, visit the ancient Temple of Lodurva, Amar Sagar and Mool Sagar Complex, built in 1815 AD. The complex also houses a summer palace with beautiful paintings and pictures.
Arrive at Sam Sand Dunes and transfer to Camels for a camel safari to discover the various sights and sounds, ruins, and temples in and around Jaisalmer in an authentic and leisurely fashion, with entertainment by folk performers. After the safari, return to Jaisalmer. Spend the night in Jaisalmer.

Travel to Jodhpur. Check into the hotel upon arrival. After lunch, visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, the Rathore princes' stronghold since 1453AD. We see the magnificent collection of paintings, weapons, and ammunition. 
The view from the rampart walls of the city is breath-taking. Other famous places to visit include Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph of a former ruler, and Umaid Bhawan Palace, the world's largest private residence. Spend the night here.

Proceed to Udaipur, stopping in Ranakpur, a major pilgrimage site for Jains. Ranakpur, the eternal Jain pilgrimage centre, is only four hours’ drive from Luni. Take in the craftsmanship from the 16th century. The temples are made of marble, and the main shrine of Adinath, with 1444 columns, is breath-taking. None of these are alike.  Continue your journey until you reach Udaipur in the late evening, when you will check into your hotel and enjoy a memorable boat ride with the reflections of the majestic Lake Palace Hotel at their best against the setting sun. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Take a sightseeing tour of Udaipur after breakfast. Visit the City Palace Museum, which displays grandeur and intricacy in granite, marble, and mosaic in the sparkling white filigreed balconies and windows, ornate arches and cupolas atop magnificent octagonal towers, and Jagdish Temple, which was built in 1651 AD. 
Visit Sahelion Ki Bari, a spectacular garden that depicts the antique lifestyle of the royal ladies who once lived there. Later in the afternoon, depart for Ajmer. Check into the hotel upon arrival. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Ajmer Sightseeing After Breakfast Ajmer City: A Muslim holy city founded in the 11th century. The Taragarh fort, an artificial lake, Akbar's palace, and the Durgah - Mausoleum of Khwaja Moinuddin-Chisti, a Muslim holy man, all contribute to the city's historical and religious significance. After that, proceed to Ajmer Railway Station to board train 12016 Shatabdi Exp 1550/2240. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Take a Delhi Sightseeing Tour Visit Akshardham Temple, one of Delhi's newest temples, which is located on the banks of the Yamuna River. 
This architectural marvel is adorned with approximately 234 ornate pillars, floral motifs, arches, exquisitely carved pavilions, 9 ornate domes, 20 quadrangle shikhars, and the spectacular Gajendra Pith (plinth of stone elephants). 
Visit India Gate, Parliament House, and the President's House; Raj Ghat is a popular ghat. A simple square platform of black marble marks the location where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948, while shopping on Janpath. Transfer to the airport on time to connect with a flight to your final destination.
