Mughal Monuments - Then Onward to the Pink City

After an early breakfast, your private guide takes you on a focused and enjoyable morning of Delhi sightseeing - the magnificent Red Fort and Chandni Chowk rickshaw ride in Old Delhi, the peaceful Raj Ghat, and in New Delhi the soaring Qutub Minar and the sublime Humayun's Tomb. Drive past India Gate and through the grand avenues of Lutyens' Delhi before setting off for Jaipur in the early afternoon - approximately 5 hours by road.

Arrive in Jaipur in the evening and check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming heritage hotel in the Pink City. Jaipur's rose-pink architecture glows warmly in the evening light - a beautiful first introduction to royal Rajasthan. Dinner this evening at a celebrated rooftop restaurant with views over the old city.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3 Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing

The Pink City - Forts, Palaces & Royal Markets

After breakfast, your private guide takes you on a full and deeply enjoyable day through Jaipur - one of India's most spectacular and best-preserved historic cities. Begin with the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) for photographs - its extraordinary facade of 953 latticed windows one of the most recognizable images in India. Drive to the commanding Amber Fort - a magnificent hilltop palace of Rajput grandeur whose Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) sparkles with a thousand reflections and whose panoramic views are genuinely breathtaking. Pause at the ethereal Jal Mahal (Water Palace) appearing to float on Man Sagar Lake.

The afternoon brings visits to the magnificent City Palace - still partially home to the Jaipur royal family - the extraordinary Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and a leisurely walk through Jaipur's famous heritage markets - block-print fabrics, blue pottery, Kundan jewellery, and handcrafted Rajasthani treasures in an irresistible parade of color and craft.

Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 4 Jaipur to Ranthambore

Into Tiger Country - The Wild Heart of Rajasthan

After breakfast and checkout, your private vehicle departs for Ranthambore - approximately 3 hours from Jaipur through the beautiful semi-arid landscapes of eastern Rajasthan. As you approach the national park, the landscape transforms - flat plains giving way to rocky hills and dense forest, the unmistakable feeling of entering wild country building with every kilometer.

Check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming jungle lodge - many of Ranthambore's finest properties combine genuine luxury with authentic wilderness immersion, their open verandas looking out over the forest and their evenings lit by lanterns and filled with the sounds of the jungle after dark. A perfect setting for two travelers who have come to this extraordinary place together.

In the late afternoon, set out for your first jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park - the evening safari running from approximately 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. As the cooler hours of late afternoon arrive, the park's wildlife becomes more active - tigers emerge from the shade, deer move toward the water, and the forest comes alive in a way that is genuinely thrilling for any wildlife lover. Your experienced naturalist guide will track animal movements, read the alarm calls of deer and peacocks, and navigate the park's zones with expertise built over years of working in this landscape.

Return to your lodge as darkness falls for dinner around the campfire - sharing the excitement of the safari and the anticipation of tomorrow's dawn adventure.

Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Day 5 Ranthambore Safari & Drive to Jodhpur

Dawn in Tiger Country - Then the Blue City Awaits

Rise before dawn for the most exhilarating experience of the tour - the morning jeep safari in Ranthambore. The dawn safari - running from approximately 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM - is widely considered the best time for tiger sightings. In the cool, misty light of early morning, tigers are active, territorial, and frequently visible near the park's famous lakes - Padam Talao, Malik Talao, and Raj Bagh - whose still waters reflect the ruins of the ancient Ranthambore Fort rising above the treeline.

Whether you are fortunate enough to see a tiger in the open - padding silently along a forest track, drinking at the lake's edge, or resting in the dappled shade of a banyan tree - or whether the morning brings encounters with leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, sambar deer, and the extraordinary birdlife that makes Ranthambore a paradise for wildlife photographers even on tiger-free days - a dawn safari in Ranthambore is an experience of pure, unfiltered wildness that stays with you forever.

Return to your lodge for breakfast after the safari. Check out and begin the drive to Jodhpur - approximately 5 hours through the landscapes of central Rajasthan. Arrive in Jodhpur in the evening and check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming hotel - ideally a heritage property with views of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort above the rooftops. Dinner this evening at a rooftop restaurant with fort views.

Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 6 Full Day Jodhpur Sightseeing

Mehrangarh Fort, the Blue City & Umaid Bhawan Palace

After breakfast, your guide takes you on a full and thoroughly rewarding day through Jodhpur - one of Rajasthan's most dramatic and visually extraordinary cities.

Begin with the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort - rising 125 meters above the city on a sheer volcanic rock outcrop, its massive walls and towers dominating the city below, its internal palaces housing one of the finest collections of royal artefacts in Rajasthan. The views from the fort's ramparts over the blue-washed old city below and the Thar Desert stretching to the horizon are genuinely spectacular - particularly beautiful in the clear morning light when the blue of the old city is at its most vivid.

Descend to visit the beautiful Jaswant Thada - the exquisitely carved white marble cenotaph whose thin screens glow translucent in the sunlight, its peaceful lakeside gardens one of Jodhpur's most romantic spots. A walk through the old city lanes brings you through the blue heart of Jodhpur - spice markets, bangle makers, and the ordinary, beautiful street life of a city that has been trading here for six centuries.

The afternoon brings a visit to the extraordinary Umaid Bhawan Palace - one of the world's last great palace buildings, 347 rooms of golden Chittar sandstone whose Art Deco grandeur and royal Rajput scale make it one of the most impressive buildings in all of Rajasthan. Visit the museum and stroll through the beautiful palace gardens before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 7 Jodhpur to Udaipur

From the Blue City to the City of Lakes

After breakfast and checkout, your private vehicle departs for Udaipur - approximately 5 to 6 hours through the beautiful landscapes of southern Rajasthan. En route, stop at the remarkable Ranakpur Jain Temples - the magnificent 15th-century marble temple supported by 1,444 individually carved pillars, its interior a forest of white marble columns illuminated by shafts of light falling through carved screens, one of the most beautiful architectural interiors in India.

Arrive in Udaipur in the evening and check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming lake-facing heritage hotel. The view of Lake Pichola and the white marble palaces above it in the evening light - the City Palace rising from the shore, the Taj Lake Palace floating on the surface of the water - is immediate and overwhelming in its beauty. Udaipur after the drama of Jodhpur and the wildness of Ranthambore feels like an arrival at something entirely different - quieter, more luminous, more deeply romantic.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 8 Full Day Udaipur Sightseeing

The Most Romantic City in India - Palaces, Lakes & Sunset

After a leisurely breakfast, your guide takes you on a beautiful and well-paced day of exploration through Udaipur. Begin with the magnificent City Palace - the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, its white marble walls rising directly from the shore of Lake Pichola, its museums housing an extraordinary collection of royal paintings, crystal, and Rajput artefacts. The palace's terraces offer views over the lake and its floating palaces that rank among the finest in Udaipur.

Visit the beautiful Jagdish Temple and the enchanting Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens) - its lotus pools, marble fountains, and flowering trees one of Udaipur's most peaceful and romantic settings. The afternoon's highlight is your private sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola - gliding silently past the legendary Taj Lake Palace and to the beautiful Jag Mandir Island Palace for tea on the lakeside terrace, the entire panorama of Udaipur and its palaces spread across the water before you. As the sun sets over the Aravalli Hills and the palaces begin to glow with their evening illumination, this is one of those travel moments of rare and lasting beauty.

Dinner this evening at one of Udaipur's finest lakeside restaurants - Ambrai with its unobstructed view of the illuminated City Palace and Lake Palace across the water is the perfect choice for a final romantic evening in Rajasthan.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 9 Udaipur Leisure & Local Exploration

Art, Craft & the Hidden Corners of the City of Lakes

Today is kept deliberately free of structured sightseeing - a day to explore Udaipur at your own pace and discover the city's quieter, more personal pleasures. The old city lanes around Jagdish Temple and the ghats of Lake Pichola are full of art galleries, miniature painting studios, craft workshops, and small boutiques selling Rajasthani textiles, silver jewellery, and handcrafted leather goods.

Udaipur is particularly celebrated for its tradition of miniature painting - a highly refined artistic tradition whose master practitioners still work here in family studios, painting in styles that have been passed down through generations. A visit to one of these studios - watching an artist at work, perhaps commissioning a small original piece - is one of the most rewarding and personal experiences that Udaipur offers.

If relaxation is the priority, many of Udaipur's finest heritage hotels offer excellent Ayurvedic treatments and spa services - a deeply restorative way to spend a day in a city of such beauty. This evening, if you have not yet experienced it, consider the cultural performance at Bagore Ki Haveli - a nightly program of traditional Rajasthani folk music and dance that is among the most colorful and enjoyable cultural evenings in the state.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 10 Udaipur Departure

Farewell from the City of Lakes

A final leisurely breakfast at your hotel before checking out. The morning is free - a last walk along the lake shore, a final visit to a favorite gallery or market, or simply a quiet hour on your hotel terrace watching the morning light move across the water and the palaces above it in the golden clarity of a Rajasthan morning.

At the designated time, your private vehicle transfers you to Udaipur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. You leave India having experienced the full range of what Rajasthan and its wildlife have to offer - from the pink palaces of Jaipur to the blue lanes of Jodhpur to the golden silence of the Ranthambore jungle at dawn to the watery, luminous beauty of Udaipur. A journey of extraordinary variety and depth - experienced privately, comfortably, and entirely on your own terms.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
