Delhi - Jaipur - Ranthambore - Agra

Trip Overview

India offers LGBTQ+ travelers something that very few destinations on earth can match - the chance to combine world-class cultural heritage with genuine, heart-stopping wildlife encounters in a single seamless journey. This 6 Nights / 7 Days Gay Friendly Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore Safari does exactly that - weaving together the historic grandeur of Delhi, the timeless romance of Agra's Taj Mahal, the royal magnificence of Jaipur, and the raw, untamed wilderness of Ranthambore National Park - one of India's finest and most celebrated tiger reserves and one of the best places on earth to see the Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat.

Ranthambore is not simply a wildlife destination - it is a landscape of extraordinary drama and beauty. The ancient Ranthambore Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - rises from the forested hills above the national park, its crumbling battlements reflected in the lakes below where crocodiles bask and painted storks wade. Tigers have been spotted walking through the fort's ruins. Leopards rest in the shade of ancient walls. And at dawn, when your open jeep moves silently through the misty forest and the calls of deer and birds signal that a predator is near - there is no experience quite like it anywhere in the world.

At Top Indian Holidays, this gay friendly India tour is crafted with complete care and personal commitment. Every hotel is pre-selected for its LGBTQ+ welcoming attitude. Your guides and drivers are experienced with international gay and lesbian travelers. And every detail - from your safari jeep booking to your sunrise Taj Mahal visit - is handled personally by our team so that you can focus entirely on the extraordinary experiences that await.

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Welcome to India - The Adventure Begins

Upon your arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, a dedicated representative from Top Indian Holidays will be waiting to greet you warmly with a personalized name board. You will be transferred comfortably in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming hotel in Delhi.

The remainder of the day is entirely at your leisure - rest, refresh, and begin to absorb the electric energy of one of the world's most extraordinary capital cities. If you arrive early and feel energetic, your driver can take you for an informal evening drive past the illuminated India Gate and through the elegant boulevards of Lutyens Delhi. Your guide will meet you this evening to brief you personally on the remarkable journey that lies ahead.

Overnight stay in Delhi

Day 2 Full Day Delhi Sightseeing

A City of Empires - Old Delhi & New Delhi

After a good breakfast at your hotel, your private English-speaking guide collects you for a comprehensive and deeply rewarding day exploring both the ancient and modern dimensions of Delhi - a city of layered history, extraordinary monuments, and an energy that is unlike anywhere else on earth.

Begin in Old Delhi with an exhilarating rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk - the magnificent, chaotic, utterly captivating market street that has been the commercial heart of Delhi since the 17th century. Visit the towering Jama Masjid - India's largest mosque - and the historic Red Fort - a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose red sandstone ramparts once enclosed the most splendid royal court on earth. Pay your respects at the peaceful Raj Ghat - the simple, serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi beside the Yamuna River.

Move into New Delhi for a scenic drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Parliament House before visiting two of Delhi's greatest UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the soaring Qutub Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret - and the hauntingly beautiful Humayun's Tomb, the garden mausoleum that established the architectural template for the Taj Mahal itself.

Return to your hotel for dinner and rest after a rich and deeply satisfying day.

Overnight stay in Delhi

Day 3 Delhi to Jaipur

The Pink City - Royal Rajasthan Awaits

After breakfast and hotel checkout, your private vehicle departs for Jaipur - approximately 5 hours by road through the landscapes of Rajasthan. Jaipur - the legendary Pink City - is one of India's most beautiful, most romantic, and most LGBTQ+ welcoming destinations, its rose-pink palaces, rooftop restaurants, and extraordinary heritage hotels consistently ranking among gay and lesbian travelers' favorite places in all of India.

Arrive in Jaipur in the early afternoon and check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming heritage hotel. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace - perhaps a walk through the colorful lanes of the old walled city, a visit to the nearby Birla Mandir temple at sunset, or simply a relaxed afternoon by the hotel pool before a rooftop dinner with views over the glowing Pink City.

Your guide will brief you on the next day's full sightseeing program this evening.

Overnight stay in Jaipur

Day 4 Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing

Forts, Palaces & the Magic of the Pink City

After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, your private guide takes you on a full, wonderfully rich day of sightseeing through Jaipur - founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and one of India's finest and best-preserved historic cities.

Begin with the celebrated Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) - Jaipur's most iconic landmark, its extraordinary five-storey facade of 953 latticed windows one of the most photographed and instantly recognizable images in all of India. Drive to the commanding Amber Fort - a magnificent hilltop palace complex of courtyards, mirrored halls, and sweeping views over the surrounding hills and lakes - one of the finest expressions of Rajput architectural achievement. Pause at the ethereal Jal Mahal (Water Palace) for photographs - this beautiful palace appears to float serenely on the surface of Man Sagar Lake, the Aravalli Hills rising behind it.

The afternoon brings visits to the magnificent City Palace - still partially home to the Jaipur royal family - the extraordinary Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory, a UNESCO World Heritage Site housing the world's largest stone sundial, and the Albert Hall Museum. End the day with a leisurely exploration of Jaipur's famous heritage markets - block-print fabrics, blue pottery, Kundan jewellery, and handcrafted Rajasthani souvenirs in an irresistible parade of color and craft.

This evening, enjoy dinner at one of Jaipur's celebrated rooftop restaurants - looking out over the glowing pink rooftops of the old city as the stars come out above Rajasthan.

Overnight stay in Jaipur

Day 5 Jaipur to Ranthambore

Into the Wild - Tiger Country Awaits

After breakfast at your hotel, check out and begin the scenic drive to Ranthambore - approximately 3 hours from Jaipur through the beautiful, semi-arid landscapes of eastern Rajasthan. As you approach Ranthambore, the landscape changes - the flat plains give way to rocky hills, dense forest, and the unmistakable feeling of entering wild country.

Check into your pre-selected LGBTQ+ welcoming jungle lodge or wildlife resort - many of Ranthambore's finest properties combine genuine luxury with authentic wilderness immersion, their open-air verandas looking out over the forest and their evenings lit by lanterns and filled with the sounds of the jungle after dark.

In the late afternoon, set out for your first jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park - the evening safari, which runs from approximately 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, is one of the best times to spot tigers as they become more active in the cooler hours before sunset. Your experienced naturalist guide will track animal movements, read the alarm calls of deer and peacocks, and navigate the park's zones with expertise built over years of working in this extraordinary landscape.

Ranthambore is home to approximately 70 Bengal tigers - one of the densest tiger populations of any national park in India - as well as leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas, sambar deer, spotted deer, jackals, and an extraordinary diversity of birdlife. The ancient Ranthambore Fort looms above the forest, its crumbling walls and towers creating a backdrop of haunting beauty to every wildlife encounter.

Return to your lodge as darkness falls for dinner around the campfire - sharing the excitement of the safari and the anticipation of tomorrow morning's adventure.

Overnight stay in Ranthambore

Day 6 Ranthambore Safari & Drive to Agra

Dawn in Tiger Country - Then the City of the Taj Mahal

Rise before dawn for the most exhilarating experience of the entire tour - the morning jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park. The morning safari - running from approximately 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM - is widely considered the best time for tiger sightings. In the cool, misty light of early morning, tigers are active, territorial, and frequently visible near the park's lakes and forest tracks.

Your open jeep moves quietly through the forest as the sun rises above the hills and the park comes alive - peacocks calling from the treetops, sambar deer moving through the undergrowth, and somewhere in the forest ahead, the alarm call of a langur monkey that may signal the presence of a tiger nearby. Whether you are fortunate enough to see a tiger or experience the park's extraordinary wildlife in all its other magnificent forms - a morning safari in Ranthambore is an experience of pure, unfiltered wildness that stays with you forever.

Return to your lodge for breakfast after the safari. Check out and begin the drive to Agra - approximately 3.5 hours. Arrive in Agra in the early afternoon and check into your LGBTQ+ welcoming hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free - rest after the safari excitement, or visit the magnificent Agra Fort and the delicate Itmad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj) in the late afternoon light.

This evening, if the timing of your visit permits, make your way to the Taj Mahal for a sunset visit - one of the most breathtaking times to experience this wonder of the world, as the white marble turns gold and then pink in the fading light of the Rajasthan sky.

Overnight stay in Agra. Note: The Taj Mahal is closed every Friday.

Day 7 Agra Sunrise Taj Mahal & Departure

Dawn at the Taj - Then Farewell from India

Rise early one final time for the most magical experience of this entire journey - a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. In the first light of morning, as the mist lifts from the Yamuna River and the monument shifts from pale shadow to incandescent white, the Taj Mahal reveals a beauty that no photograph has ever fully captured and no traveler ever fully expects.

Walk through the Great Gate as the sun rises. Stand before the reflecting pool as the Taj Mahal and its perfect reflection shimmer in the still water. And take a moment - in whatever way feels right to you - to acknowledge that you are standing before one of the most extraordinary things that human love has ever created.

Return to your hotel for breakfast and checkout. Your private vehicle will transfer you to Agra Railway Station or Agra Airport for your onward journey - or back to Delhi for international flight connections, approximately 3.5 hours by road.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

Our trip with Top Indian Holidays was fantastic. Our family of five, including 3 small kids, visited the Golden Triangle of India. It was a wonderful cultural experience. I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
