Essence of India Luxury Tour :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, guests are warmly welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred to their luxury hotel. Delhi introduces travelers to India’s historical depth through its combination of Mughal architecture, colonial avenues and modern cosmopolitan life. After check-in, the remainder of the day remains free for relaxation following the international journey.

Later in the evening, enjoy a panoramic drive through New Delhi passing India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. The illuminated colonial-era buildings and wide ceremonial boulevards create an elegant introduction to India’s capital city.

The evening concludes with fine dining at one of Delhi’s luxury restaurants where guests may enjoy refined Indian cuisine and personalized hospitality within sophisticated surroundings. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Heritage Exploration

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid followed by a traditional rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk where spice markets, historic bazaars and Mughal-era streets preserve the atmosphere of imperial India.

Continue toward Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar where centuries of Indo-Islamic architecture reveal the artistic sophistication and historical evolution of Delhi’s dynasties. The contrast between Old Delhi’s crowded historical quarters and New Delhi’s colonial elegance creates a fascinating cultural experience.

The afternoon remains free for shopping or leisure. Delhi’s luxury boutiques and artisan galleries offer excellent opportunities for handcrafted carpets, jewelry and contemporary Indian fashion. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

This morning, depart for Agra via India’s modern expressway network. Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel before beginning afternoon exploration of Mughal Agra. The city remains globally admired because of its extraordinary architectural heritage and royal history.

Visit Agra Fort where marble palaces, audience halls and royal courtyards reveal the sophistication of Mughal court life. Massive sandstone walls protect some of the empire’s most remarkable interiors overlooking the Yamuna River. Your guide will explain the stories of Emperor Akbar and Shah Jahan while exploring the fort complex.

As evening approaches, enjoy sunset views of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh across the river. Watching the marble monument gradually change color beneath the evening sky creates one of the most memorable experiences in India. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4 Taj Mahal Sunrise & Jaipur

Early this morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when soft golden light reflects beautifully across the white marble monument. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal remains one of the world’s greatest symbols of love and architectural perfection.

After breakfast, continue toward Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri en route. Built during Emperor Akbar’s reign, the abandoned Mughal capital still preserves magnificent gateways, royal courtyards and red sandstone palaces reflecting the grandeur of Mughal architecture.

Arrive in Jaipur by evening and check into your luxury palace hotel. The evening remains free for relaxation or cultural experiences within the heritage surroundings of the property. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 Jaipur Royal Heritage

After breakfast, proceed for a guided exploration of Jaipur’s royal landmarks. Begin with Amber Fort located above the surrounding hills where mirror-work halls, painted chambers and royal courtyards reveal the artistic brilliance of Rajasthan’s Rajput rulers.

Continue toward the City Palace and Jantar Mantar where royal museums and astronomical instruments reflect Jaipur’s princely sophistication and scientific legacy. Later, stop at Hawa Mahal before visiting artisan workshops specializing in gemstones, blue pottery and hand-block printed textiles.

The evening may include a traditional Rajasthani dining experience accompanied by folk music and cultural performances within a heritage setting. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur to Varanasi

Following breakfast, transfer to Jaipur Airport for your flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival, proceed to your luxury hotel located near the sacred River Ganges. Varanasi introduces travelers to India’s spiritual heart through ancient rituals, temple traditions and sacred riverfront ceremonies.

Later in the evening, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony where priests perform synchronized rituals with large oil lamps beside the ghats while devotional chants and temple bells fill the atmosphere. The spiritual energy of Varanasi creates one of India’s most unforgettable cultural experiences.

The evening concludes with quiet reflection beside the river before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 7 Varanasi Spiritual Experiences

Before sunrise, enjoy a private boat ride along the River Ganges while pilgrims gather for sacred bathing rituals and morning prayers. Watching the ghats slowly awaken beneath the soft morning light creates one of the most emotional and visually powerful moments of the journey.

Later, explore Varanasi’s temple lanes, flower markets and historic neighborhoods where spiritual traditions continue uninterrupted across centuries. Your guide will explain the city’s importance within Hindu philosophy and why pilgrims from across India consider Varanasi deeply sacred.

The afternoon remains free for relaxation or optional silk weaving demonstrations introducing Varanasi’s famous textile traditions. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 8 Varanasi to Kochi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kochi in Kerala. Upon arrival, proceed to your luxury hotel where tropical greenery, colonial architecture and coastal scenery introduce a completely different side of India.

Kochi has historically served as one of India’s most important spice trading ports connecting Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Portuguese, Dutch and British influences continue to shape the city’s architecture, cuisine and cultural identity.

Later in the evening, enjoy a relaxed exploration of Fort Kochi where colonial streets, Chinese Fishing Nets and seaside promenades create a charming coastal atmosphere. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 9 Kochi Heritage & Cultural Experiences

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Fort Kochi’s historic districts where Portuguese, Dutch and British influences continue to shape the atmosphere of the city. Visit St. Francis Church, the Dutch Palace and the historic Jewish Synagogue where centuries of maritime trade history remain preserved through architecture, artifacts and cultural traditions.

Continue toward Kochi’s spice market district where traders once handled pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves destined for international markets. The aroma-filled streets and colonial warehouses still preserve the character of Kerala’s global spice trade legacy. Guests may also enjoy curated tastings of Kerala cuisine and fresh coastal specialties.

The afternoon remains free for leisure, boutique shopping or wellness experiences within the luxury hotel. Kochi’s slower coastal atmosphere creates a refreshing contrast to North India’s royal and spiritual destinations. Overnight stay in Kochi.

Day 10 Kochi to Udaipur

Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. Upon arrival, proceed to your luxury lakeside palace hotel overlooking Lake Pichola and the surrounding Aravalli Hills. Udaipur introduces travelers to Rajasthan’s romantic elegance through marble palaces, peaceful lakes and artistic heritage.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola passing the famous Lake Palace and Jag Mandir while sunset colors reflect beautifully across the water. The graceful atmosphere of Udaipur creates one of India’s most visually stunning luxury travel experiences.

The evening remains free for rooftop dining, lakeside relaxation or spa treatments within the palace surroundings. Watching illuminated palaces reflect across the lake creates a magical Rajasthan atmosphere. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 11 Udaipur Royal Heritage

This morning begins with a guided exploration of Udaipur’s magnificent City Palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Marble balconies, ornate courtyards, mirror-work halls and royal chambers preserve centuries of Mewar dynasty history while offering panoramic views across the surrounding lakes and hills.

Continue toward Jagdish Temple before exploring sections of the old city known for miniature paintings, handcrafted textiles and silver jewelry. Many artisan workshops here continue traditional artistic techniques passed through generations, creating a more authentic shopping and cultural experience.

Later, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari where marble fountains, lotus pools and shaded gardens create a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxed sightseeing. Evening at leisure within the luxury hotel surroundings. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 12 Udaipur Leisure & Cultural Experiences

After breakfast, the day remains intentionally relaxed allowing guests to fully enjoy the elegance and tranquility of Udaipur. Luxury travel through India is not only about monuments and sightseeing but also about slowing down within extraordinary surroundings.

Guests may enjoy spa therapies, leisurely breakfasts overlooking the lake, private yoga sessions or curated shopping experiences focusing on handcrafted art and luxury textiles. Optional cooking experiences inspired by royal Mewar cuisine may also be arranged depending on guest interests.

Later in the evening, enjoy a private fine dining experience beside Lake Pichola while illuminated palaces reflect beautifully upon the water. The romantic and peaceful atmosphere of Udaipur creates one of the most memorable evenings of the journey. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 13 Departure from Udaipur

Following breakfast, transfer to Udaipur Airport for your onward journey. Assistance will be provided throughout the departure process to ensure a smooth and comfortable conclusion to your luxury India holiday.

Throughout the journey, guests have experienced Mughal architecture, royal Rajasthan, sacred rituals, colonial heritage and romantic lake cities while traveling through some of India’s most iconic destinations.   because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

I cannot recommend them enough. The hotel accommodations were great (we stayed at the trident hotels). The food was delicious. Everyone we met in India was so friendly and kind. We always felt safe. Our tour guide Nand was super nice and informative. Our kids’ favorite stop was the Monkey Temple :) The rickshaw ride through Delhi was exciting and fun.  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
