Colours of Rajasthan, North India :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you before escorting you to your luxury hotel. India’s capital city introduces travelers to a fascinating blend of Mughal heritage, colonial elegance, luxury hospitality, and modern urban culture. After your international journey, the day is intentionally planned at a relaxed pace allowing time to settle comfortably before beginning the grand Rajasthan exploration.

Depending on your arrival timing, enjoy a leisurely orientation drive through New Delhi where broad avenues, colonial-era landmarks, diplomatic districts, and modern commercial areas reflect the city’s sophisticated urban character. The contrast between historical architecture and contemporary infrastructure immediately creates an engaging first impression of India.

Later in the evening, relax at your luxury hotel or enjoy dinner at one of Delhi’s renowned fine-dining restaurants specializing in refined Indian cuisine. Your tour coordinator will also provide a detailed overview regarding the upcoming heritage, desert, and wildlife experiences included in the itinerary. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing

The morning begins with a guided exploration of Old Delhi where bustling bazaars, Mughal monuments, spice markets, and narrow historic lanes continue to preserve the atmosphere of medieval India. Enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk while observing colorful local life and vibrant street culture.

Visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s grandest mosques built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The elegant architecture and massive courtyards provide excellent insight into Delhi’s Mughal heritage and Islamic artistic traditions.

Later, continue toward New Delhi where broad colonial avenues and landscaped districts create a striking contrast to the crowded old city. Visits to India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutub Minar further showcase Delhi’s architectural richness and UNESCO-recognized heritage. Return to your luxury hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, depart for Agra using one of India’s finest express highways. The comfortable drive passes through changing countryside landscapes, agricultural regions, and smaller towns while offering glimpses into everyday life beyond India’s metropolitan cities.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel before beginning the afternoon sightseeing program. Agra remains internationally admired for its Mughal architecture and historical significance connected with the Taj Mahal and Mughal Empire.

Later, visit Agra Fort where royal audience halls, marble pavilions, palace chambers, and riverfront balconies reveal fascinating stories connected to Mughal emperors and royal life. In the evening, enjoy sunset views of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh located across the Yamuna River. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4 Agra to Jaipur

Early in the morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when the white marble monument glows beautifully beneath changing natural light. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal remains one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces and a timeless symbol of eternal love.

After breakfast, continue toward Jaipur while stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital built during Emperor Akbar’s reign. Massive gateways, courtyards, royal halls, and mosques reveal extraordinary Mughal planning and architectural brilliance.

Arrive in Jaipur by evening and check into your luxury heritage hotel. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur introduces travelers to Rajasthan’s royal culture through palace architecture, artisan traditions, and vibrant bazaars. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 Jaipur Sightseeing

The day begins with an excursion to Amber Fort located amidst the Aravalli Hills outside Jaipur. Massive gateways, decorative courtyards, mirror-work halls, and beautifully painted royal chambers reveal the grandeur of Rajput architecture and royal lifestyle from earlier centuries.

After returning to the city, continue sightseeing with visits to the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal. The City Palace beautifully combines Mughal and Rajput design influences while Jantar Mantar demonstrates India’s remarkable scientific achievements through giant astronomical instruments.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani cultural dinner accompanied by folk music and dance performances. Rich regional cuisine, colorful costumes, and royal-style hospitality together create an immersive cultural experience admired by travelers visiting Rajasthan. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 6 Jaipur to Raipur

Following breakfast, depart for Raipur, one of Rajasthan’s hidden countryside heritage destinations admired for boutique luxury experiences and peaceful rural surroundings. The scenic drive passes through changing landscapes, traditional villages, and smaller settlements where authentic Rajasthan continues to preserve its timeless charm.

Upon arrival, check into your elegant heritage retreat beautifully restored from a former royal residence. Antique interiors, peaceful courtyards, personalized hospitality, and countryside surroundings together create a calm and intimate atmosphere far removed from crowded tourist routes.

Later in the evening, enjoy leisure time within the property while admiring sunset across the rural landscapes. Traditional cuisine, folk music, and warm hospitality create a memorable introduction to Rajasthan’s countryside heritage culture. Overnight stay in Raipur.

Day 7 Raipur Countryside Experiences

The morning begins with curated countryside experiences around Raipur where travelers can witness authentic Rajasthan beyond major tourist cities. Village walks, artisan interactions, and cultural encounters provide opportunities to observe traditional lifestyles, local craftsmanship, and agricultural communities continuing naturally across rural Rajasthan.

Continue exploring nearby heritage structures, temples, and peaceful countryside landscapes where the slower pace of life allows travelers to appreciate Rajasthan’s deeper cultural identity and warm hospitality traditions.

Later in the afternoon, return to the heritage retreat for relaxation or optional wellness experiences. The peaceful atmosphere and boutique luxury environment make Raipur especially rewarding for travelers seeking exclusivity and authentic cultural interaction. Overnight stay in Raipur.

Day 8 Raipur to Jaisalmer

After breakfast, continue toward Jaisalmer, Rajasthan’s legendary desert city rising dramatically from the heart of the Thar Desert. The scenic drive passes through open desert landscapes, camel settlements, and stretches of golden terrain creating one of Rajasthan’s most visually unique journeys.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage hotel before enjoying a relaxed evening experience. Built almost entirely from golden sandstone, Jaisalmer glows beautifully beneath sunset light while its ancient fort dominates the skyline above medieval streets.

Later, enjoy rooftop views overlooking the illuminated Jaisalmer Fort while traditional Rajasthani cuisine and desert hospitality create a magical introduction to Rajasthan’s desert culture. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 9 Jaisalmer Sightseeing & Desert Experience

The morning begins with a guided exploration of Jaisalmer Fort, one of the few living forts in the world where local families, temples, artisan shops, and traditional homes continue to exist within fortified walls. Narrow sandstone lanes, beautifully carved Jain temples, and heritage havelis together create a magical atmosphere reflecting the city’s medieval trading history along ancient caravan routes.

Continue sightseeing with visits to Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli where intricately carved facades, balconies, and decorative sandstone architecture reveal extraordinary craftsmanship from Rajasthan’s merchant era. The golden color of the city combined with its desert surroundings creates one of India’s most visually distinctive heritage experiences.

Later in the evening, proceed toward the Sam Sand Dunes for a luxury desert experience. Endless golden dunes beneath sunset light create an unforgettable landscape while traditional folk performances, camel rides, candle-lit dining, and starlit skies together create one of Rajasthan’s most iconic luxury travel moments. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 10 Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

Following breakfast, depart for Jodhpur, famously known as the Blue City of Rajasthan. The scenic drive passes through desert landscapes, traditional settlements, and open countryside where travelers can observe authentic rural Rajasthan and its timeless desert culture.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage hotel before beginning a relaxed evening exploration of the city. Dominated by the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort rising dramatically above blue-painted houses, Jodhpur presents one of Rajasthan’s most striking architectural landscapes.

Later, enjoy leisure time exploring heritage markets known for spices, handcrafted textiles, silver jewelry, leather products, and traditional Rajasthani décor items. The lively atmosphere of the old city creates a fascinating contrast compared to the peaceful desert surroundings of Jaisalmer. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 11 Jodhpur Sightseeing

The morning begins with a guided tour of Mehrangarh Fort, considered one of India’s greatest hill forts. Massive gateways, royal courtyards, museums, decorated palaces, and panoramic viewpoints reveal the military strength and royal grandeur of Rajasthan’s former rulers.

Continue sightseeing with a visit to Jaswant Thada, an elegant marble cenotaph surrounded by peaceful gardens and reflective water surroundings. The monument creates a calm contrast to the dramatic scale of Mehrangarh Fort while showcasing Rajasthan’s refined architectural traditions.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy leisure time exploring Jodhpur’s artisan workshops and boutique stores where handcrafted leather goods, textiles, décor items, and antiques continue to attract visitors from around the world. Travelers often appreciate the city’s authentic atmosphere and slower pace compared to larger urban destinations. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 12 Jodhpur to Jawai Bandh

After breakfast, continue toward Jawai Bandh, one of Rajasthan’s most exclusive wildlife and countryside luxury destinations admired for leopard safaris, dramatic granite landscapes, and peaceful rural surroundings. Unlike traditional tiger reserves, Jawai offers a unique wilderness experience where wildlife coexists naturally with local village communities.

Later in the evening, enjoy your first leopard safari experience accompanied by expert naturalists. Jawai is internationally admired for its relatively high chances of leopard sightings across rocky terrain and hidden caves. Sunset across the dramatic landscapes further enhances the beauty of the safari experience. Overnight stay in Jawai Bandh.

Day 13 Jawai Leopard Safari Experiences

The morning begins with another exciting safari through the granite hills and wilderness landscapes of Jawai. Unlike dense forest reserves, the open terrain here allows travelers to appreciate both the wildlife and dramatic scenery simultaneously while searching for leopards and other local species.

Apart from leopards, the region supports migratory birds, antelope species, crocodiles, and rich rural biodiversity. The coexistence between local Rabari communities and wildlife further creates a unique cultural dimension rarely experienced in traditional safari destinations.

Return to the luxury camp for breakfast and relaxation before enjoying another evening safari or countryside cultural experience. The peaceful wilderness atmosphere, luxury hospitality, and exclusivity of Jawai create one of Rajasthan’s most memorable wildlife experiences. Overnight stay in Jawai Bandh.

Day 14 Jawai Bandh to Udaipur

Following breakfast, depart for Udaipur, Rajasthan’s romantic City of Lakes admired for elegant palaces, tranquil waters, and refined royal heritage. Compared to Jawai’s rugged wilderness landscapes, Udaipur offers a softer and more graceful atmosphere surrounded by lakes and hills.

Upon arrival, check into your luxury palace-style hotel overlooking Lake Pichola or the surrounding landscapes. Udaipur has long remained associated with romance, luxury hospitality, and royal elegance, making it one of Rajasthan’s most admired heritage destinations.

The evening can be spent relaxing beside the lake while admiring illuminated palace reflections across calm waters. Sunset views combined with peaceful lakeside surroundings create an unforgettable introduction to Rajasthan’s most romantic city. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 15 Udaipur Sightseeing

The day begins with a guided exploration of the magnificent City Palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Elegant courtyards, decorative balconies, royal apartments, museums, and panoramic terraces reveal the grandeur of the Mewar dynasty and Rajasthan’s royal legacy.

Continue sightseeing with visits to Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari where lotus pools, fountains, marble pavilions, and landscaped gardens create a peaceful royal atmosphere. Udaipur’s scenic beauty and architectural elegance make the city especially rewarding for photography and relaxed exploration.

Later in the evening, enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola while admiring Jag Mandir, the famous Lake Palace, and surrounding palace architecture illuminated beautifully against the evening sky. The calm waters and surrounding hills create one of the most elegant experiences of the journey. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. Top Indian Holidays handled all of the arrangements expertly, providing first rate service, excellent accommodations, transport, and first rate local guides! We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
