Classic Rajasthan Tour with Heritage Hotels :- Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, guests are welcomed by the representative of Top Indian Holidays and transferred to their luxury heritage hotel. Delhi immediately introduces travelers to India’s historical depth through its blend of Mughal architecture, colonial avenues and modern urban sophistication. After check-in, the remainder of the day remains relaxed following the international journey.

Later in the evening, enjoy a panoramic introduction to New Delhi while driving past India Gate, Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan. The broad ceremonial avenues and sandstone buildings create an atmosphere of elegance reflecting the city’s colonial planning and political significance.

The evening concludes with fine dining at one of Delhi’s premium restaurants offering refined Indian cuisine and luxury hospitality. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Delhi Heritage Exploration

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid followed by a traditional rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk where spice markets, historic lanes and bustling bazaars preserve the atmosphere of Mughal India. The contrast between Old Delhi’s crowded historical quarters and New Delhi’s orderly colonial design reveals the city’s remarkable diversity.

Continue toward Raj Ghat before visiting Humayun’s Tomb, regarded as one of India’s finest Mughal monuments and widely considered the architectural inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. Later, proceed to Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of India’s most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The afternoon remains flexible for shopping or relaxation. Delhi offers excellent opportunities for handcrafted carpets, jewelry, luxury textiles and contemporary Indian fashion. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 3 Delhi to Agra

This morning, depart for Agra via India’s modern expressway network. Upon arrival, check into your luxury hotel before beginning afternoon exploration of Mughal Agra. The city remains globally admired because of its extraordinary architectural heritage and imperial history.

Visit Agra Fort where marble palaces, royal audience halls and elegant courtyards reveal the sophistication of Mughal court life. Massive sandstone walls protect some of the empire’s most remarkable interiors overlooking the Yamuna River. Your guide will explain the stories of Emperor Akbar, Shah Jahan and the political power of the Mughal dynasty.

As evening approaches, enjoy sunset views of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh across the river. The peaceful atmosphere and changing colors of the marble monument create one of the most memorable experiences in Agra. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 4 Taj Mahal Sunrise & Ranthambhore

Early this morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise when soft golden light reflects beautifully across the white marble surfaces. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the monument continues to be regarded as one of the world’s greatest architectural masterpieces and a symbol of eternal love.

Return to the hotel for breakfast before driving toward Ranthambhore with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri en route. Built during the reign of Emperor Akbar, the abandoned Mughal capital still preserves magnificent gateways, red sandstone palaces and royal courtyards reflecting the empire’s golden age.

Continue onward to Ranthambhore National Park and check into your luxury wildlife resort surrounded by forest landscapes and wilderness scenery. Overnight stay in Ranthambhore.

Day 5 Ranthambhore Wildlife Experience

Early this morning, depart for an exciting wildlife safari accompanied by experienced naturalists. Ranthambhore National Park remains one of India’s most celebrated tiger reserves and offers opportunities to spot Bengal tigers, leopards, crocodiles, deer and numerous bird species within dramatic landscapes of lakes and dry forests.

Beyond wildlife, the reserve’s ruined temples and ancient fort walls create an atmospheric setting unlike conventional safari parks. The combination of nature and historical ruins gives Ranthambhore a distinctive character highly appreciated by luxury travelers and photographers alike.

Return to the resort for breakfast followed by leisure time. Guests may enjoy wellness treatments, relax beside the pool or participate in another safari experience later in the day. Overnight stay in Ranthambhore.

Day 6 Ranthambhore to Jaipur

Following breakfast, continue toward Jaipur, Rajasthan’s celebrated Pink City known for royal architecture, artisan traditions and vibrant cultural life. Upon arrival, check into your luxury heritage hotel where palace-inspired interiors and royal hospitality create an authentic Rajasthan atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon, begin sightseeing with visits to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Royal museums, ceremonial halls and astronomical instruments reveal Jaipur’s unique combination of scientific innovation and princely heritage.

The evening remains free for shopping or fine dining experiences. Jaipur’s luxury boutiques and artisan workshops are internationally known for gemstones, handcrafted jewelry and hand-block printed textiles. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 7 Jaipur Royal Heritage

After breakfast, proceed for a guided visit to Amber Fort positioned dramatically above the surrounding hills. Explore mirror-work halls, royal courtyards, painted chambers and hidden passageways while learning about the Rajput rulers who once governed the region.

Continue toward Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal before spending time at artisan workshops specializing in blue pottery, gemstone cutting and traditional textile printing. Jaipur remains one of India’s finest destinations for heritage shopping and handcrafted luxury products.

The afternoon remains flexible for spa treatments, cultural experiences or leisure time within the hotel. Watching sunset across Jaipur’s historic skyline creates a memorable royal Rajasthan experience. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 8 Jaipur to Jodhpur

After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur through Rajasthan’s changing landscapes and rural settlements. Arrive in the Blue City and check into your luxury heritage hotel before beginning evening exploration. Dominated by the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur carries a strong desert atmosphere shaped by centuries of Rajput warrior history.

Guests may enjoy a heritage walk through selected old city lanes where traditional markets, spice traders and artisan workshops preserve the rhythm of daily life beneath the towering fort walls. The contrast between the blue-painted houses and the sandstone fort creates one of Rajasthan’s most dramatic cityscapes.

The evening concludes with rooftop dining overlooking the illuminated fort while traditional Marwari cuisine and live folk music create an unforgettable atmosphere. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 9 Jodhpur Royal Heritage

This morning begins with a detailed guided exploration of Mehrangarh Fort, regarded as one of India’s grandest and most impressive forts. Massive stone gateways lead into royal palaces decorated with stained glass windows, carved sandstone balconies, painted ceilings and museum galleries preserving artifacts connected to Rajasthan’s Rathore dynasty.

From the fort terraces, panoramic views across Jodhpur’s blue-painted old city create one of Rajasthan’s most iconic landscapes. Your guide will explain the military significance of the fort as well as the royal traditions and artistic sophistication of Jodhpur’s rulers. The combination of dramatic architecture and desert scenery makes Mehrangarh Fort one of the highlights of the entire Rajasthan journey.

Later, continue toward Jaswant Thada, the elegant marble cenotaph built beside a peaceful lake in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The afternoon remains free for shopping, spa treatments or relaxation within the heritage surroundings of your luxury hotel. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 10 Jodhpur to Narlai

Following breakfast, depart for Narlai, a peaceful heritage destination nestled between granite hills and traditional villages in rural Rajasthan. Unlike the larger royal cities, Narlai offers a slower and more intimate atmosphere where luxury travel blends naturally with authentic countryside experiences.

Upon arrival, check into your beautifully restored heritage property, often a former royal hunting lodge or historic haveli transformed into a boutique luxury retreat. The property’s courtyards, heritage architecture and personalized hospitality create an atmosphere of understated elegance perfectly suited for travelers seeking exclusivity and tranquility.

Later in the evening, enjoy one of Rajasthan’s most memorable dining experiences beside an ancient stepwell illuminated with lanterns and candles. Traditional cuisine served in such a historic setting creates a uniquely atmospheric and romantic Rajasthan experience. Overnight stay in Narlai.

Day 11 Narlai Rural Experiences & Ranakpur

This morning begins with a relaxed exploration of Rajasthan’s countryside surrounding Narlai. Guests may enjoy village walks, interactions with local communities and visits to nearby temples where traditional lifestyles continue across generations. The slower pace of Narlai offers insight into rural Rajasthan rarely experienced during standard city-focused tours.

Later, proceed toward Ranakpur to visit the extraordinary Jain Temple complex regarded among India’s finest marble architectural masterpieces. Supported by hundreds of intricately carved pillars, the temple reflects astonishing craftsmanship and spiritual devotion. No two pillars share exactly the same design, making the structure especially fascinating for architecture enthusiasts and photographers.

Return to your luxury heritage property in the evening where guests may relax within peaceful surroundings beneath Rajasthan’s desert sky. Fine dining, personalized hospitality and the quiet atmosphere of rural Rajasthan create a memorable luxury experience. Overnight stay in Narlai.

Day 12 Narlai to Udaipur

After breakfast, continue toward Udaipur through scenic sections of the Aravalli Hills. Along the route, travelers encounter marble workshops, village settlements and changing landscapes before reaching Rajasthan’s celebrated lake city. Upon arrival, check into your luxury lakeside hotel overlooking the peaceful waters of Lake Pichola.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a private boat ride on Lake Pichola passing the famous Lake Palace and Jag Mandir while sunset colors reflect beautifully across the water. Udaipur’s elegant atmosphere, surrounded by lakes and hills, creates a softer and more romantic contrast to Rajasthan’s desert cities.

The evening remains free for rooftop dining, spa treatments or lakeside relaxation within the luxury hotel surroundings. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 13 Udaipur Royal Heritage

This morning begins with a guided exploration of Udaipur’s magnificent City Palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Marble balconies, mirror-work halls, ornate courtyards and royal terraces preserve centuries of Mewar dynasty history while offering panoramic views across the lakes and surrounding hills.

Continue toward Jagdish Temple before exploring sections of the old city known for miniature paintings, silver jewelry and handcrafted textiles. Unlike heavily commercialized shopping districts, many artisan workshops here still preserve traditional artistic techniques passed down through generations.

Later, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, the elegant royal gardens built for noblewomen and princesses. Lotus pools, marble fountains and shaded pathways create a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxed sightseeing. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 14 Departure from Udaipur

Following breakfast, transfer to Udaipur Airport for your onward journey. Assistance will be provided throughout the departure process to ensure a smooth and comfortable conclusion to your Rajasthan heritage holiday.

Throughout the journey, guests have experienced Mughal grandeur, royal Rajasthan, tiger safaris, rural heritage and romantic lake cities while staying in carefully selected heritage hotels and palace properties.   because my time with him in India was the most organized and exciting two weeks of my existence. I spent two weeks touring Southern India with a class of 16 American students and one professor who had never been to India, but thanks to Nand, the trip was seamless. He took us to incredible locations and called upon his personal connections to create opportunities for us and ensure that we were involved and informed. The entire time we were there, Nand made India feel like home. Somehow, he found a way for us to experience a range of incredible, new experiences in a completly unfamiliar place, while always ensuring our safety, comfort, and awareness. There is nothing Nand will not do to make your trip incredible. I cannot reccommend him enough.  ...Read More

My wife had a wonderful 28 day trip around the main sights in Rajasthan, The Golden Triangle and onwards to Varanasi. Nand organised the hotels to our budget, the driver and guides all of which were very good. Without his expertise this trip would not have been possible so a big "thank you"!  ...Read More

I’ve made such wonderful memories here in India. For a week, I had the chance to work on my sister’s women’s healthcare project in the village of Chandelao, and then spent a weekend in Jaipur. The accommodations have been top notch, and both our guides- Kartika and Nand Singh- have become our good friends. Top Indian Holidays is a tour company dedicated to exceptional service. Despite traveling alone with my sister, we felt so safe and at home. I truly have fallen in love with I did!  ...Read More

Last year, I travelled throughout northern India for one month as part of a course at Saint Mary’s College. We had such incredible adventures, thanks to our in country guide and friend Nand Singh Rathore. I was so impressed by his company’s commitment to excellent hospitality that I planned another visit this March. The main purpose of my trip was to work on a women’s healthcare project in Chandelao. Top Indian Holidays was so helpful in organizing transportation and accommodations. Our guide, Kartika, and our driver, Bhim, made sure we were well taken care of. My project would not have gone smoothly if it weren’t for them- and I am so proud to call them my new friends! My sister and I stayed an extra weekend in Jaipur, and Nand Singh was amazing as usual. He is so, so good to us!!! If you visit India through Top Indian Holidays, I assure you that you will have a safe, adventurous, and unforgettable experience!  ...Read More

Top Indian Holidays is THE BEST! We came to India for the Jain Festival in south India at Shravanabelagola (which happens only once every 12 years) and continued on to the Golden Temple in Amritsar and to sit for teachings with His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama in Dharamsala. We've travelled through many, many countries with numerous very good travel agencies but none have provided the excellent service that Top Indian Holidays provided. They are committed to excellence.   We had an absolutely incredible experience touring India with Top Indian Holidays, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Our journey took us through Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, and Jaipur, and every part of the trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between sightseeing, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences. Seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra was, of course, a highlight, but the real standout moment was Ranthambore—where we were lucky enough to see tigers in the wild, something we’ll never forget. What really made the trip exceptional, though, was having the same driver with us throughout the entire journey.  ...Read More

On the advice of a friend we contacted Nand Singh Rathore at Top Indian Holidays in Jaipur. Nand worked with us and suggested a suitable tour over 5 days. We flew from Goa to Delhi and were met by our driver Ram Singh, whom stayed with us for the duration of the tour. Day 2 we visited the Taj Mahal with a very well informed local guide and spent 3 hours enjoying this special place. We then headed for Jaipur ( a 6 hour drive from Agra) stopping on the way at Chand Baori ( The Abhaneri Step Well). Day 3 in Jaipur we visited the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, and the City Palace. We were also due to visit the Jantar Mantar but because of heavy rain and thunderstorms we missed this out. Day 4 we were picked up at our hotel for the 7 hour drive to Udaipur , stopping for lunch and comfort breaks on the way.  ...Read More
