Overview

Bikaner is a lively, colourful town with a unique vitality. Jaisalmer residents frequently stop by to admire the numerous forts and exploration locations. The town, which historically served as the princely state of Bikaner's capital, is currently Rajasthan's fourth-most populous metropolis.

This city, constructed of sandstone and dunes ,is sometimes known as "camel country" since it also contains one of the largest camel study farms in the world, cultivating the finest of the species.

Bikaner is a developing treasure in the Thar desert because of its lush desserts, stunning forts, and desert safaris. The tour will begin at 8'o' clock in the morning. You will be dropped off straight by cab at Junagarh Fort and the other two destinations you are going to visit today.

The spots to visit  ;
Junagarh Fort - The formidable Junagarh Fort has a moat enclosing it. Within its confines, the palace complex contains numerous magnificent buildings. Palaces made of red sandstone and marble combine to provide a beautiful array of kiosks, windows, balconies, and courtyards that are visually spectacular.

Karni Mata Temple - Probably the most popular attraction in Bikaner is probably this temple. It is commonly known that a great number of rats have settled permanently in this sanctuary. The goddess Durga's manifestation, Karni Mata is honoured at this shrine, which was built in the fourteenth century. The grandeur and ritual worship of rats has mesmerised a great number of tourists from all around the world.

Gajner Palace
The palace, which is located on the bank of a lake, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bikaner.Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji, a former administrator of the Bikaner province, built the palace.The Gajner Palace used to be a hunting and holiday resort in which the Maharaja of Bikaner and other members of his family entertained guests and shared their passion for hunting. It is built of red sandstone and is a wonderful example of craftsmanship. The palace's sculpted towers, jharokhas, and screens are its principal draws.

Today the day will start with visiting the exquisite palaces of Bikaner and end with visiting the famous shrine.

Lallgarh Palace
One of Bikaner's impressive architectures is the Palace. This magnificent house was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century by Maharaja Ganga Singh. The palace is a fantastic place to spend your vacation now that it has been turned into a hotel. This location's opulent Rajputana design and exquisite interior decoration draw tourists.

Rampuria Haveli 
The Rampuria havelis were built by the wealthy Bikaner merchants over a few hundred years. These mansions in Bikaner are much more than magnificent works of art. The profound creative sagacity that our predecessors bequeathed upon us is perfectly exemplified by them.

Bhandasar Jain Temple
The fifth Tirthankara, Sumatinath, is honoured in this temple, which is also regarded as the highest and most magnificent temple in existence.

Bhanda Shah, a Jain trader, built this temple. Dry coconuts and pure ghee were used to line the temple's foundation. Red sandstone makes up the three-story temple, which features usta art and wall paintings.

Kodamdesar Temple
The Kodamdesar Bheruji Temple was constructed by Rao Bikaji, the city's founder, and is revered by Hindus. The ruling god is Lord Bhairu Ji, who was created from Lord Shiva's third eye, which is located between the eyebrows. As a result, the god is seen as a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva.

Shiv Bari Temple
The Shiv Bari Temple, which is made of red sandstone, is around 6 kilometres from Bikaner. A tall wall protects the temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva. A lovely wall painting of a Nandi bull facing a Shiva Lingam can be found in the temple.

The pavilion, domes, and  beautifully decorated columns are some of the Shiv Bari Temple's other standout characteristics. The sculptures of Lord Krishna and the "Gopis" on the outside of the Shiv Bari Shrine Complex fascinate and enchant the devotees.

The last day of the tour. Today we will cover the museums and the market of Bikaner.

Sadul Singh Museum
The Sadul Singh Museum, which is devoted to the rulers of Bikaner, Maharaja Ganga Singh, Maharaja Karni Singh, and Maharaja Sadul Singh, contains an amazing collection of royal artefacts, including paintings, trophies, weaponry, and pictures, to name a few. It is the greatest location to learn about the Maharajas' valiant deeds.

Ganga Singh Museum 
The museum offers a wonderful collection of artefacts from the Gupta Dynasty and the Harappan Civilization. For those interested in history and archaeology, the museum is the ideal destination because its exquisite antiquities—including pottery, paintings, terracotta sculptures, and other items—will provide visitors a glimpse into India's illustrious past.

Prachina Museum 
The Museum was founded in 2000 by Siddhi Kumari, the daughter of Maharaja Narendra Singhji, and houses an incredible collection of royal clothing, accessories, perfumes, textiles, artwork, one-of-a-kind class items, silverware, tableware, and portraits of the Maharajas. The items on display offer a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the Bikaner royal family.

Station Road
There are a tonne of tiny shops and vendors at the Station Road market. This market is a great place to buy traditional artefacts, native fabrics, leather items, and embroidered shoes (jootis).

You may even order a bespoke Jooti within 24 hours, and in the interim, you can check out the regional leather and wood crafts, as well as miniature paintings with gold embellishments. The renowned Haldiram Bhujiawala original business is a destination for foodies.
