Overview

Bikaner is a vibrant, vivacious town with a distinct vibrancy. Locals from Jaisalmer frequent the area to see the various forts and exploration sites. The town which was once the capital of the princely state of Bikaner, is now Rajasthan's fourth-most populous city.

They welcome visitors from all over the world because of their warm culture and long historical heritage. This sandstone and dune-built city is commonly referred to as "camel country" since it is home to one of the biggest study farms in the world that raises the best specimens of the camel species.

Because of its beautiful forts, lush desserts, and desert safaris, Bikaner is emerging as a hidden gem in the Thar desert. Huge, stunning buildings that display the riches of their creators to visitors are all across the city. At eight in the morning, the tour will start. You will be driven off directly by cab to the two other locations you will be visiting today, namely Junagarh Fort.

The  Junagarh Fort
The impressive fort is surrounded by a moat. The palace complex has many stunning structures inside its boundaries. A stunning collection of kiosks, balconies, porches, and courtyards may be found in palaces constructed from red sandstone and marble.

Karni Mata Temple
This temple is arguably Bikaner's most well-known landmark. It is well known that many rats have made this sanctuary their home permanently. At this shrine, which dates back to the fourteenth century, the deity Durga's incarnation, Karni Mata is honoured. Many travellers from all over the world have been entranced by the grandeur and religious worship of rats.

Gajner Palace
This palace, which is located by a lake, is one of Bikaner's most well-known tourist destinations. Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji, the previous governor of the region of Bikaner, constructed the palace. In the past, the Maharaja of Bikaner and family members entertained guests at Gajner Palace and shared their love of hunting. It was constructed from red sandstone and is a superb work of craftsmanship. The palace's main attractions are its carved towers, jharokhas, and screens.

Shiv Bari Temple 
About 6 kilometres away from Bikaner is the red sandstone Shiv Bari Temple. The temple, which itself is dedicated to Lord Shiva, is guarded by a high wall. In the temple, there is a magnificent wall mural of a Nandi bull standing in front of a Shiva Lingam.

Other notable features of the Shiv Bari Temple are the pavilion, the domes, and the exquisitely decorated columns. The devotees are fascinated and mesmerised by the statues of Lord Krishna and the "Gopis" on the exterior of the Shiv Bari Shrine Complex.

Lallgarh Palace 
The Palace is a noteworthy piece of Bikaner's architecture. In the early 20th century, Maharaja Ganga Singh built this exquisite home. The mansion is a phenomenal location to enjoy your vacation as it has been transformed into a hotel. Visitors are drawn here by the location's rich Rajputana architecture and superb interior design.

Rampuria Haveli
The affluent Bikaner merchants spent several hundred years constructing the Rampuria Havelis. Bikaner's homes are far more than just wonderful works of art. They are the ideal representation of the deep artistic sagacity that our forefathers left us.

Bhandasar Jain Temple 
This temple, which itself is considered as the greatest and most gorgeous temple ever built, honours Sumatinath, the fifth Tirthankara.

A Jain businessman named Bhanda Shah constructed this shrine. The temple's base was lined with dry coconuts and unadulterated ghee. The three-story red sandstone temple is decorated with wall murals and usta art.

 Sadul Singh Museum
The museum honours Maharaja Ganga Singh, Maharaja Karni Singh, and Maharaja Sadul Singh and, is home to an incredible collection of royal artefacts, including, among other things, paintings, trophies, weapons, and portraits. The best platform to learn about Maharajas' brave actions is there.

Ganga Singh Museum 
The museum has an amazing collection of works from the Harappan and Gupta civilizations. The museum is the ideal location for people with an interest in history and archaeology because its fine ancient artifacts, crockery, paintings, terracotta statues, and other objects provide visitors a look into India's storied past.
