It was built in 1939 is basically a suspension bridge having length of 450 ft and height of 70 ft. The way it has been built over river Ganges is the same way which h was once crossed by Laxmana in Puranic times as per the legends. Hence, this bridge is named as Lakshman Jhula because of its hanging position. Plenty of monkeys all around the Jhula and adjoining place is another attraction point for visitors.
