It was built in 1802 by British Military to serve the purpose of British garrison of Rs.10,000 for those soldiers who were posted Fort Cabo during Napoleonic period to protect the Fort from French excursion. This cemetery has 56 gravestones, 47 tombstones and it was supposed to be 180 years old. Nearby this place is the Raj Bhawan which is currently the residence place of Governor of Goa
